@greybeard I wasn't looking for a code review. I was looking to answer a question from tsh. The purpose of the comment is to explain why the algorithm works. — btilly just now

"All approaches work." - then it's not a candidate for this site. This might be on-topic on Code Review SE. I voted to close. — Friedrich 36 secs ago

Easy come, easy go. -210 serial voting was reversed. Someone was VERY generous with their upvotes on my posts... a little too generous. Perhaps the user is unaware of the scripts that run. Regardless, I appreciate the sentiment :)

@toolic Oh wow, XD

I guess the user does not received an automated notification of the serial voting, so will remain blissfully ignorant
@toolic How can you be sure it is only 1 user?
@pacmaninbw: There is no way for me to be sure. It is pretty likely, though, considering most of the upvotes were within minutes of each other. That is my simple-minded view of how the script works.

“In a test I took…” That test is garbage. No one writes code like this, and no one should be writing code like this. No professional in their right mind would let something like this pass a code review. You would benefit from finding tests that gauge useful Java knowledge instead of self-indulgent language minutiae. — VGR 53 secs ago

Q: Simple paint program

MikeThis is the beginning of a simple X11/Xlib paint program. I got most of this code from an online source and started to modify it. But since I'm new to X11, I thought I'd ask before I add on to bad code. #include <X11/X.h> #include <X11/Xlib.h> #include <X11/Xutil.h> #include <X11/XKBlib.h> #inc...

LRDPRDXI know there are several implementation of FSM in C++ containing different set of features and written in different styles. Nevertheless, I've decided to write my own. Here are some key points : c++17 (not later) no need for the state.entry / state.exit functionality number of states ≤ 10 I find...

@toolic @pacmaninbw It was one user. As long as it doesn't happen again, there is no action necessary. If it does happen again, we'll contact the user.
@Mast: Thanks. I'm guessing the person just came back from vacation and was doing some catch-up
If so, they should catch up more slowly next time :-)

As for the other voting issue, CMs have been a little busy hunting network trolls the past few weeks but we'll post an update on that eventually.
There's no need for people to start compensating votes.

@jpsmith thanks for the tip! I didn't know Code Review, might have to check it out. I also updated the code here to see if someone can help me... — Lana Meijinhos 5 secs ago
