Why is delete invoked on a pointer to an object that is still in use? There's your bug. You need to properly manage the lifetime of objects. One simple way to fix that is the mentioned smart pointers, another is to use a garbage collector. Other methods specific to your application design may exist, too. I can't comment on that design since you don't provide any substantial info on it, maybe presenting it on codereview.stackexchange.com would be beneficial. — Ulrich Eckhardt53 secs ago
should I use enterText.Length instead of timesPressed?. If you use length as well as times pressed then you can get a measure of how many keystrokes were needed to generate the result , ie how many corrections were needed which is a pointer towards accuracy. If you want to make a statistic of that you can, but most of the questions you're asking are leaning towards us designing your program for you; we are not the authority on how it should be designed; you are. Stackoverflow is not designed to answer questions like this. Also, your code works and hence belongs on CodeReview StackExchange — flackoverstow32 secs ago
@Reinderien Fortunately I don't have to deal with those, I was able to get out of dealing with the quaternions too, though I think that will only last for a small bit yet
Anyone here ever have to modify a linux-based OS for self-startup branded platforms? We're trying to determine how easy it is to put our logo in the bootloader, and have the system only show a GUI after starting the application we want
I have made a quick and basic working demo on calculating the moment of inertia of a 2D convex polygon. This was for the purpose of learning physics engines, more specifically rigid body dynamics (2D) for fun. However, inertia can be complicated subject (especially in 3D) and that there seems to ...
@pacmaninbw: I'll get a round tuit. I still think it's funny when people here ask me, of all people, to vote more :) Speaking of votes, how about some Santa vote on my latest zombie kill?
@Mast Ah, I can't find anything nice in the Arch Wiki about archinstall. :/ You probably didn't use the new installer. Arch is really easy to install now, no more having the Installation Guide on a second device XD
@Peilonrayz Doesn't look familiar, but I'll keep that in mind next time I reinstall a system. Got an old PC from someone last week that I got to re-install when I'm feeling better, good excuse to try the new installer.
@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ toolic has more votes ever than you. What's your point?
Tell people to vote, sure. You too @pacmaninbw. But perhaps start aiming for people who aren't actually voting, instead of bothering people who are doing way above average already.
@toolic almost has twice the votes @Reinderien has and nobody is bothering them.
What's next, people telling me to vote more often?
I'm 4th overall ever. I know a thing or two about votes. Start bothering people who aren't voting instead of those who have 7k votes on their name.
If we're talking about votes cast vs rep gained, they're doing way better than the both of you.
You can figure out which graph belongs tho who easily enough.
I'm working on commands for creating and updating FinanceAgreement records in a .NET application. The goal is to streamline and clean up the document-handling logic.
Problem Description:
In our current implementation, we have a CreateFinanceAgreementCommandHandler and an UpdateFinanceAgreementCom...
Insofar as you're starting with working, rather than broken, code -- this question is probably better suited to Code Review rather than Stack Overflow. You got an answer this time, but in general "best practice" questions tend to be closed. — Charles Duffy36 secs ago
