Q: Matrix Class Implementation

Space GaoriI have written a minimal matrix class. I would like to utilize the latest C++ features, follow best practices, and utilize multi-threading in some of the operations. I have also setup a GoogleTest environment with test cases like verifying matrix initialization and calculations but I am not sure ...

Q: A simple mmap(2) wrapper

hazI've written a wrapper for the mmap syscall. It's quite limited in functionality at the moment (there are lots of flags to support) but it's sufficient for mapping anonymous memory regions, which is what I need it for. It already satisfies clippy, so I'm keen to understand some more advanced impr...

Q: Stopping a running thread without testing variables

user278561The Thread stop method is deprecated. The recommendation is to stop running threads by updating a variable. Many uses of stop should be replaced by code that simply modifies some variable to indicate that the target thread should stop running. To avoid testing anything though preserving stop an...

Before you post at Code Review, be sure to read A guide to Code Review for Stack Overflow users, as some things are done differently over there - e.g. question titles should simply say what the code is for, as the question is always, "How can I improve this?". Be sure that the code works correctly; include your unit tests if possible. You'll likely get some suggestions on making it more efficient, easier to read, and better tested. — Toby Speight 50 secs ago

Q: Scrapping the web page that requires scrolling

Yulia VThis code uses Selenium to scrap the entire web page by scrolling it down, screen by screen. A simple application of Selenium does not work in this case. The code is not mine, it's from this Medium story. It works, 2 sec and 1 sec delays worked when I tested it a few times, but it feels a bit uns...

@CaptainObvious Closed Authorship.
> I wanted to know if there are better solutions for the situation when one needs to scrap the page that does not show up entirely.
Brute solution is measuring how long it takes for a page to load 20 times and take twice the longest time you encountered. See how that works out.
Add that as a pause.
Better solution is to wait for the page to be loaded and actively check whether the page has loaded.
RBA now.
