Q: Should we generalize the [native-code] tag?

200_successUntil now, we have been using the native-code tag for questions involving high-level code that calls c, c++, or similar lower-level code. Occasionally, people write code to allow c or c++ code to call code in a higher-level language, perhaps in an embedded interpreter. In that case, using the na...

If the code is working and all you want is the feedback about its efficiency, why not to ask for help at Code Review? At first glance, list_of_sub_data_frames looks redundant in your flow. Also SparseDtype(float) seems to be better than SparseDtype(object, np.nan). And I would transform the data source into CSV if possible (IMO sed or awk could do this job fast enough, if you work on a linux/macos). — Vitalizzare 37 secs ago

This seems a bit too verbose, detailed and specific for a StackOverflow question. Could you rephrase it, simplifying the problem and boiling it down to a minimal example of the mechanism you are looking for? Otherwise, you should ask at codereview instead. — Pierre D 42 secs ago

This is pure c[a-z]*p that I had to answer because I couldn't close it. The OP has had 3 reviews and doesn't show any sign of improving.

Q: Alternative code to define function which avoids use of apply()

TommoI'm currently working within a dataframe and although the code works, the current routine takes around 1 hour to complete. Q: C# Conditional Request

TravisI am writing something in C# that can make a request with 4 different parameters. The first parameter always needs to be filled in, so reqX[0] needs to exist. This is a small program. There is probably no lag in performance. Do not try to make micro improvements. This often results in making the program harder to read. Furthermore, this site is actually not made for code reviews. If you have a specific question, this is for you. But I cannot quiet figure out what you expect to be better. — John 14 secs ago

off-topic questions should not get answers - wait until the question is posted in Code Review and answer it there ;) — blurfus 9 secs ago
@blurfus While this may be on-topic on CR, in the future, please don't use the existence of the Code Review site as a reason to close a question. Evaluate the request and use a reason like Needs more focus, primarily opinion-based, etc. Then you can mention to the OP that it can be posted on Code Review if it is on-topic.
