There isn't a built-in operation for what you're looking to do either in the standard library or in Apple's swift-algorithms package (as far as I'm aware), but your implementation looks reasonable. If you want suggestions for improvement, I'd recommend actually asking this over on the Code Review StackExchange for actionable feedback. — Itai Ferber 6 secs ago

@pacmaninbw They've ripped out what the buttons are for, but we can extrapolate we don't really need that information for most of a review. It's not ideal, but it's answerable.

Stack Overflow is not a code-reviewing service. The links I gave you earlier indicate that. You may have more luck at our sister site Code Review, but please take their tour and read through their help center first to ensure that your question is on-topic. — MattDMo 7 secs ago

"This code works" + "optimize its performance" = Code ReviewForceBru 28 secs ago

6:29 PM
@ForceBru No, it is on-topic. See: Performance question - Stack Overflow or Code Review? . This is one purpose of the performance tag (and a bit optimization too). However, the OP has to be quite precise and provide profiling information if possible (or a short reproducible example). — Jérôme Richard 34 secs ago

If you have a specific question about your current code, you can ask a new question as I've said previously. Iterating over the same question and adding to it is not how this works. You ask one specific question and get an answer and then move on to ask another specific question. If you ask a question about verifying your code (if you haven't found any problems with it yourself) you should probably ask on the codereview site instead, but if you have found problems in your code that you don't find the cause for, create a new question with a minimal reproducible example. — Ted Lyngmo 56 secs ago
