Q: Markdown code formatter

Richard NeumannWith my rustymines 1 2 project, I realized, that it was cumbersome, to copy and paste all the code files into Markdown for review here. So I wrote a small program that formats source code files as Markdown for me: src/main.rs: use std::collections::HashMap; use std::env::args; use std::fs::File; ...

It's not for us to verify your code. That's what your testing is for. If you want a code review then there are sites for that but this is not one of them. — jmcilhinney 17 secs ago

@TobySpeight Why do you feel this question should remain open? Did you look at their repository?
The fact that all the code is in a header file should be reviewed.

Q: Postgres DB design

Larry TeischwillyI need to develop a database to handle muting people in an online community. The DB needs to keep track of the currently muted people. When somebody gets unmuted, that entry gets moved to an archive table. People can only be muted by specific staff members. This is the code I came up with: CREATE...

We don't do code elegance here; please try Code Review. That said, the first thing that stands out to me is that the .columns need to be set every time after calling _dp (whatever that name is supposed to mean). Perhaps that should instead be part of what the function does? — Karl Knechtel 16 secs ago

@AndrewMorton This question is not welcome on Code Review, so please reconsider going for a proper close reason. Some of the rules of Code Review are the author must know the code to be working to the best of their knowledge and that the question must contain a description of what the code does. It's lacking on both fronts. — Mast 6 secs ago

@Duga If you have 0 posts on our side, what gives you the idea you know when to redirect someone here?

I'd also get used to editing XML- you sometimes need to change things at runtime,a nd that's fine. But you'll find all your code reviews getting rejected if you're setting everything in code when you don't have to, nobody programs that way because its FAR less readable. — Gabe Sechan 20 secs ago

Q: Membrane protein diffusion in different confinement models

hexaquarkI am a junior Software Engineer, C++ is usually my main jam but I started picking up Python for a research project I am doing in college. Q: Is there a way to structurize this code by using Strategy, Command or other pattern?

stroibotSo I have a SceneManager class (code shown below) that I think should contain my "business logic" for loading scenes in some way that I want using SceneLoader. Right now I have methods for loading Main Menu, Gameplay and Persistent scenes. But what if I want to add in the future logic for loading...
