Why is calculating all these points inefficient? Are you really facing a performance hit when running this script? Are you 300% sure that this method is the culprit? I really doubt so. Now, note that there is now a more idiomatic way of doing this using a DOMMatrix, jsfiddle.net/639Ljq17 but that won't be more efficient (though once again I doubt this would ever matter much). Also, your question would still be a better fit on codereview, focus on the performance hit you have (if any) and ask them to optimize it from there. — Kaiido 1 min ago
Help, I already posted on codereview and they said it was off-topic and that I should post on stackoverflow. Now you're saying I should post on code review. And yeah I benchmarked it and this method is the culprit. I need a more efficient way of calculating bounding boxes. — Ryan Peschel 17 secs ago
No you did ask an other question on codereview, you asked them to review your workaround, what you need is to ask them to review your working code which is too slow. — Kaiido 59 secs ago
No in my code review questioned I posted my working code and that it was too slow and I was looking to make it more efficient using Troubadour's example but I couldn't get it working. Then someone said that because I couldn't get Troubadour's working that I should post on Stackoverflow asking for help with that, which I am doing now. Also, it is not necessary for me to link my entire program from which this individual function is slowing it down. Questions on Stackoverflow should be minimal and focused. I have already isolated that this function needs to be more efficient via profiling. — Ryan Peschel 58 secs ago

Q: Binary Search Tree in C++ without parent pointers

HEKTOThis is one more implementation of Binary Search Tree in C++. There are many such implementations, however they are typically long and complex, and also many of them rely on pointers to parent nodes for deletion (which isn't necessary). My goals were simplicity, clarity and conciseness, especial...

Q: A simple Minesweeper in Python

FelicityIn my coding interview for a company, I got the question to write a Minesweeper game. I did not manage to finish the game in 1 hour at that time, so now I has written it again after the interview. Could you please help me to check if my code follows good practices for a game-program ? I appreciat...

@JackeyOL Got it. Then you should be working with arrays directly in VBA without mixing with ranges especially if you're planning to read multiple external files. Power Query would be another alternative. I suggest you post a separate question on Code Review outlining the whole workflow and what you've got so far so that you get reviews on the "architecture" of what you're trying to do. — Cristian Buse 53 secs ago

I am working on a batch program and I want it to loop for a certain amount of times. My code isn't working entirely. Does anyone know what's wrong? Here is my code...
set repeat=1
:repeatwithdelayy
if %repeat% gtr 1 (goto :repeatwithdelayy) else (set /a repeat=%repeat%+1 && timeout /T 25000 >nul && echo %random% && goto :ending)
:ending
This is in Batch code. So .bat
I want it to output the random number over and over again for 25,000 times and once it reaches that I want it to end where it says end. Then continue to the rest of the code that is below this code. (Not Included)

Q: Nullable array wrapper class with small size optimization

thcI have an array wrapper class that I'd like to get reviewed. There are two differences with other common questions on this site. First, my class needs to be "nullable", where a "null array" has a different meaning than an array of length zero. Second, I'm trying to test whether small size optimiz...

Q: Python and Matplotlib - Reduce lines of code

RuanI have been coding in Python for a number of years now. I've always felt that Matplotlib code takes up a lot more lines of code than it should. I could be wrong. I have the following function that plots a simple scatter plot graph with two additional solid lines. Is there any way for me to reduce...

Q: Game of Life in Clojure

Christian HujerI've implemented a Game of Life in Clojure and would like to understand what I can do better, especially in terms of idiomatic Clojure (without losing readability/maintainability) of the current version. This is my first "serious" Clojure program (beyond hello world). Things that I'm specifically...

Q: Improving speed and simlify code of "leetcode" Roman Numbers converter

Late347I just have the free account at leetcode. I've been practicing some coding there in preparation for interviews. Note that you can now reference "Coding Jargon" by number. The items have been anchored, e.g. stringified types is number 7, so the url is https://blog.codinghorror.com/new-programming-jargon/#7... I explicitly requested the anchors some time ago.

Q: SecureADODB library: handling parameterized queries

PChemGuyIn the previous post, I presented the DbManager class added to the SecureADODB library. Here, I would like to focus on handling query parameters. Q: Grouping anagrams together from a string array
