Q: Codeblock detection

retailcoderThe idea jumped at me after reviewing two close votes in a row that were homework assignments without any code in it. Since a question that has no code in it, is 100% garanteed to be off-topic here, can there be a "code-block detection" mechanism that prevents a user from posting a question that...

if I vote to close on a question does it automatically go into the review queue for others to see? or do I also have to flag the question? I ask because I found an older question asking to fix broken code

10:06 PM
@Malachi: Yes, it will automatically go into the queue. With closing privileges, you cannot "flag to close" the question anyway. In my experience, even old questions with a close vote will be added to the queue. If you think a question should be deleted, you should still vote to close it, but you should also flag a moderator to have it deleted (there seems to not be enough 2K+ users casting delete votes).

@Jamal: good point. there are not very many users above 2K from what I have seen on Area51. says there are 36 users 2K+ and 21 @ 3K+
@Jamal: who knows how many are still active, I know there are a couple.

@Jamal: I am trying to Learn Javascript in the middle of work and Family time. it's a tricky balance. I am almost to the point where I want to post my Fibonacci code here just to see if someone can show me how to make it more efficient and go to higher numbers. I want to try programming some other algorithms too though
i just can't believe that I don't already know javascript well enough to use it anywhere.
