I noticed your recent conversation that you were having about my post in the Tavern.
It's a real question. Yes, I do volunteer at an all-female school.
I'm a young male. (Who happens to be ace, but that's irrelevant.)
@fvrmvn (continuing) I volunteer at an all-female school because I believe in female empowerment. There were very few students from my university who were willing to head there. I feel that my experience there is very rewarding and definitely has an impact on my perceptions.
There's absolutely nothing awkward about volunteering at an all-female students' school in my eyes. Students are students.
Also, if you're not sure whether a post of mine on IPS is real or not, click the "edit" button and check the top of the post body. I'll have indicated in an HTML comment whether it's real or hypothetical.

If you were going to volunteer somewhere as a young adult male, would you really choose a girls only middle school? Further, is it really flirting if someone makes small talk suggesting you dressed up (common among kids), as well as asking if you are married (often kids assume adults in places of authority are married). To me, the whole situation is very strange, and borders on predation.
The questions I were asked by students weren't merely asking me about looks or marriage. They knew we were college students; their teachers had told them beforehand.
I'll be honest with you: thus far, there has been only one student who exhibited the behavior I outlined in that post. The rest all treat me professionally. The last time I went there, that one student later apologized to me. That happened after I asked the question and after I used some tips from the answers.

As you are probably aware, college is well-known for the dating scene. So I got asked some questions about relationships from some people. And I made the mistake of assuming they were flirting.
This was partially due to the program director telling us to lie to those questions with "I'm already dating someone" - why else would you respond to that question like that?
There was one student who was actually flirting...which I mentioned in the message above.
Finally, please don't accuse people of "predation" just because I opted for something that's not "traditional". Yes, it's not traditional for a male to go out of their way to volunteer at an all-female school. I did it for two reasons: 1. not too many students were opting to go there, and 2. for the overall experience.
