Did I say anything at all anywhere near that kind of thing? I merely asked a question. What is wrong with saying that Ça as a first word in sentences in French is speech? It seemed to annoy AE. Then, AE goes on to say my comments are challenged on ELU. etc. That I am not the "victim here". Who said anything about being a victim? I am merely explaining myself.

And also, the thing about C'est and C'était being like English. Last time I looked people learn comparatively, and he is Indian, so there is nothing untoward about that. And even if a person disagrees with me, there is no need to get so angry about it. I'm done. Good night.
