@0scar @Trish @Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 - I've added a new standard comment to deal with "Clarification comments posted as an answer" to deal with the deleted answer to 3dprinting.stackexchange.com/questions/7963/…, as I couldn't see an existing one that fitted the bill (although it is early and I'm half asleep). Whilst this is not amazing news, I had to start a new wiki answer as posts are limited to 30000 chars, and the old one got too big.

@Greenonline Perfect, also nice to learn about the limit of 30000!

@DanHulme @Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Whilst I don't go to a gym and exercise in the traditional sense, I cycle about 10 miles a day and do a lot of back breaking gardening and tree cutting, so I'm quite active, but I'm still freezing cold. My main reason for weight loss in Thailand seems to be not eating bread (and maybe potatoes, sausages and bacon - but bread is the big one I think) and only rice and noodles. And vice versa for the weight gain back in UK...
I haven't drunk for a few beers now (I never really liked it anyway), and I drink a least about 4 pints of sugary black tea daily (both in UK and BKK), so sugars aren't really a factor to the weight loss/gain. I'm sure its the bread - in the UK I eat about a loaf a day by myself. I'm not proud of that fact :-D
years not beers lol...

bread is surprisingly calorific
so I'm sure you're right

@Greenonline - I wasn't saying sugars in general, I said processed sugars. Mainly candy, cookies, pastries, and the corn syrup in sodas. I never gave up eating starches (to include breads and potatoes), carbs, or fructose sugars. Let me tell you when I did give them up, I have a notion what crack addicts go through when they give up their drug of choice! I mean, serious physical withdrawals. It sucked!
However, I do fully believe things happen differently for different people. Just because it works for me, doesn't mean it will for you.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 I think white sugar can be classed as processed too... but I agree, different things, for different people, I really only mentioned the sugar to show that it is a constant and doesn't affect my gain and loss. Mind you sweet tea is the only sugar that I have (I don't eat chocs, cakes, desserts, or sweets), I've never had a sweet tooth, more savoury, I love salt. Withdrawal? Yes, If I don't drink sweet tea I get horrific headaches... :-D

@Greenonline - Oh, most def on the "white sugar". And those headaches are probably from lack of caffeine ... yes ... I mainline it too

Headed home. Have a good one!

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Because of a British TV series (Paranoid) I saw this week, I now understand what you mean by mainline.

yay, the interviews are over. I completed 66 leetcode.com questions, read a phonebook sized interview prep book, attended interviewing meetups for 2 months, flew coast to coast. Now they are all over and most of the offers are in.
Turns out if you want a job at company XYZ just memorize the top 20 leetcode questions for that company, they literally all used those questions.
Theres a really interesting medical question right now
