@glS It would make a lot of sense to me if the sets of computable things of the universal DV and CV quantum computers are indeed identical (and here I would accept also if the differences are of measure zero), kind of like how you can have Turing-completeness with either bits or trits. Then again the Hilbert spaces have finite and infinite dimensions, respectively, so the bits and trits analogy is not very good.

@Mithrandir24601 Is my work worth publishing by any chance (after endless edits)?

@Kiro the formalism is quite different, which is why the results will probably also look different, but universality is there for sure. I vaguely remember seeing lists of universal CV gate sets
one thing you might try though is to break up the question into more focused ones. That usually enhances significantly the chances of getting a good answer. For example, the question about the CNOT (something like "what does a CNOT gate look like in CVs?") could be a good question of its own
@Mithrandir24601 @luciano sorry, I ended up being really busy the past days
@Mithrandir24601 I mean, what do those logos miss? I guess they only need to be coloured?

@glS colouring yes, but I don't know what else SE need (I need to send an e-mail when I'm on my laptop again on Monday about that)
@MoreAnonymous That's not as simple a question as you might think - anything new is 'publishable' but that neither tells anything about the level of journal it can get into nor if it's 'enough' to get into a paper by itself. I mean I've done pages of maths to get something that takes up 2 sentences in a long paper, which isn't (yet) published
But honestly? I don't think about the papers from the get-go - a good paper will follow from good science
