Q: Non-standard number data types in Oracle

OialeI'm not sure that this question belongs to this StackExchange. I've asked this question on StackOverflow: Besides the "usual" number data type where precision is greater then scale there are many "non-standard" number data types where scale greater then precision or where scale is negative...

@sp_BlitzErik that one might float your boat

Is that a uterus?

I don't think that those wear hats, but I'm not an expert

I never claimed to be an expert

Did you ever determine if your database collation and server (instance) level collation match or not?

It's a slippery slope. A state forced to let citizens tie sticks together might be forced to let them do something truly dangerous, like vote.

7:16 PM
i remember the good old days when you could buy all sorts of contraband from stores in chinatown
brass knuckles, pepper spray, butterfly knives

1 hour later…

Kendra touched on this with tempdb, not sure it'd be an issue for you but wouldn't hurt. — scsimon 38 mins ago
Calling Tara "Kendra" is the new calling everyone "Brent?"

they should try devops

Pretty much every issue fixed in CU13 was caused by devops
Anyone remember the days when retail assertions were rare?

never trust 7412
@PaulWhite no, I'm young

lol

@JoeObbish Good job it's not default for any new products
I suppose I hadn't appreciated that "lightweight" applied to the testing effort

sigh

wtf
> Improvement: You can set the minimum interval value to less 10 seconds for parallelly running SSIS packages in SQL Server 2017
> parallely
> mfw

so much fail in one CU
good job none of us work with xml extensively
or parallely

ctrl + f access: 8 hits

maybe all the testing effort is busy with 2019

11:56 PM
ctrl + f assert: 2 hits
ctrl + f error: 16 hits

ctrl + f useful details: no hits

ahem
you can expect these to be tested with the same rigor
copious rigor

all our CUs are rigorously tested and documented by interns (that we sacked last year)

tanned, rested, and ready

go team!

11:59 PM
