SN10 managed the landing!
It was, erm, rapidly dismantled a few minutes after landing :-)
But it's still a huge step forward.

@JohnRennie I'm not sure I see the advantage of exploding after landing compared to exploding in the air :P
 
Look on the bright side, it was the fastest turnaround time between launches ever recorded.
Admittedly the second landing was a bit hard :-)
 
oh, so they were fastest to explode two rockets in succession? ;)
 
No, I mean if you watch the landing the explosion launched the starship in the air. It wasn't actually that big an explosion - unlike the previous two landing attempts.

There was obviously a fuel leak as you could see the flames from the leak immediately before the landing. Hopefully a fuel leak is easy to fix compared to manoeuvres like the flip.

Hi, so I am solving this problem where I have to calculate the potential due to an infinite chain of particles with charge +q at a mutual distance of 'a' apart. Now, for a point that lies between any two such charges (the point lies on the infinite line somewhere between any two charges), I am getting the potential to be infinite. I checked my calculations and they seem to be fine. Does my conclusion seem fine?
I mean, I am thinking of a physical explanation as to why does this makes sense (if this is in fact true).

Errr I think that's similar to the Newtonian homogeneous universe?
For which yes the potential diverges
Both obey the Laplace equation so it makes sense

you can find proper explanations for this regarding solutions of the Laplace equations, IIRC
