OMG! I only typed "T h i s I s F i n e " and that^ popped up :-D
That's gotta be a new feature.

6:01 AM
@skillpatrol Yeah, it's called "Google tracking your browsing history" type of feature.
jk it pops up on my browser as well
The fact that there's coronavirus around the world doesn't stop us from celebrating a space achievement IMO

hmm

Things are bad, there's a virus, but focusing on the bad stuff is not of any benefit for our psyche

true dat

6:20 AM
I know it's hard, just hang on, we'll go through this.

We're in for a long dark night for humanity.
The dark age of the 21st century have begun.

lol, more like the dark year of 2020

sure, one year at a time my friend

#thatoptimism
The home isolation is not treating you well pal. Your view is distorted due to lack of social communication.

#onedayatatime
one hour
one minute
last dying second

listen to music, get busy, learn something, read something, build something, but don't allow the bad thoughts in your brain.

sure, keeping busy is important

I hope to release my tech device in a month or two
I've been working on it for around 4 months
hopefully it'll have it's market. Nevertheless I calculated that I need to sell 5 of it to have a 2x ROI lol

@satan29 Please don't post your questions here directly after you asked them; interested people watch the main site anyway, and if everyone did it, the room would be flooded with new questions.

Is there any standard color palettes used for physics theses or papers?

@B.Brekke Some specific journals might have such standards, but I don't think there's any overarching standard. (Also, most papers get by with just black and white with no need for a palette at all)

@ACuriousMind Okay, thanks. Sounds like matplotlib standard colors will do just fine then.

@B.Brekke Just in case you want your papers to stick out, it's worth seeing this question on Tex.SE :D

@ACuriousMind I'm sorry for doing it. I understand the idea. Thanks.

@FakeMod Already implemented!

user434058

user434058
Get ready for being the author of the most cited paper :P

1:43 PM
@obliv is Ryan ever coming back to this chatroom?

2 hours later…

ugh, every time I do anything with graphics programming I realize I forgot how horrible it is to talk to GPUs. Current peeve: "Oh, someone resized my window? I'm just going to crash then."

3 hours later…

Can anyone take a look at my question?
I've been struggling with it for the last three hours

Q: Galilean Transformations Derivation

DarkRunnerI'm trying to understand the Galilean Transformations, as shown in my book. Here's the situation, first and foremost: Two observers, R (uses Roman Coordinates for its Reference Frame) & G (uses Greek Coordinates for its Reference Frame) are traveling towards each other at a constant velocity $v<<...

@ACuriousMind Any ideas?

@DarkRunner You only asked the question 21 minutes ago... See the guidelines - Don't advertise your recent questions

user434058
@JMac I was just gonna say that. Anyways, been a long time since I saw you... :-)

Sorry about that; Nevertheless, after struggling for three hours, you can understand I'm anxious for help

@FakeMod Yeah my routine has been completely thrown off.

user434058
@DarkRunner You pinged the the system, now await the HELLFIRE :D (jk)

@DarkRunner Still though, you only asked here 21 minutes ago. Stackexchange isn't meant for instant answers, it's for good quality answers that future readers can also get use from.

@jmac Perhaps now, after 2.5 hours of waiting, would be a better time to ask if anyone can examine my question?

@DarkRunner please consider @ACuriousMind’s post above: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/54581398#54581398 : “ Please don't post your questions here directly after you asked them; interested people watch the main site anyway, and if everyone did it, the room would be flooded with new questions.”.

@ZeroTheHero OK, I'll wait a few months

9:18 PM
And I have returned yet again!
Yet to no avail, I see ...
