Oh wait, actually: it's better without the ellipsis than with it. But I prefer the way the moon smoothly blends into the background in the first picture.

The moon is somewhat larger in this one...

Look at the top right part of the moon, where the bite is taken out of it. In the last picture you posted, do you see how there's a little white (or bright) line along the border of the moon? That doesn't appear in the other picture. I'm saying I think it looks better without that line.

Q: How to determine spatial color distribution?

Is there an easy way (i.e. free or open source tool) to determine the spatial color distribution (i.e "intensity") in a picture or in a region of interest of this picture? Let's say I used a laser or some lenses and mirrors and a light bulb to adjust a ray of light on a piece of paper in a dark ...

To stop or at least slow down the decreasing of the (high level)/(low level) ratio of questions that goes along with this, it would be a good idea to better support (instead of discouraging by policy) things useful for researchers, as it is done by successful high-level sites targetted at a research audience such as MathOverflow, CS Theory,

and the formar Theoretical Physics SE has been. You know what I mean and many researchers on the site agree with me on this ...

The opinion of good and knowledgeabel contributers to the site should be taken seriously, for example if they disagree with closing a question (or a kind of questions) their objections and concerns should be seriously considered. Just deleting their respectfully and politely disagreeing comments is quite inappropriate and disrespectful towards such good people, whom we should try to keep on the site. I dont know who did this ...
