@user21820 I've known you for quite awhile, and value your participation on math.se, and your input. But I am at the precipice of deleting my account on math.se. Rep gluttons are not held in check, in any effective way, and a whining user under 100 rep gets more attention that a concerned user with over 20K rep.

SE/SO has changed over the recent few years, to encourage coddling of new users (despite the fact that at least 50% of "new users" create a "new" account for every two questions they ask. And SE/SO, meaning also site mods, seem unwilling to support long term users when they are targeted with dvs. Anyway, I'm not here to rant, just to say good-bye o/

@amWhy Thanks for telling me so I know what's going on. I understand that it is ridiculous that there are people on Math SE that deliberately subvert site quality for their own personal satisfaction, and little done about that. So it makes sense if you don't want to participate anymore. But just in case you might want to return in the future (who knows it might get better 10 years from now?), perhaps consider just leaving without deleting your account?

@user21820 Thanks for you input! Yes, I am holding off on deleting my account, for the time being. Sometimes I reach a point where I wonder whether my effort here is worth it; oftentimes, a good night's sleep helps to gain perspective.
