@Peilonrayz taken outside context, Nanachi is also quite cute.

@SPArcheon I recall you saying the anime was pretty good... just need to get around to watching the anime ;_;
11:21 AM
@Peilonrayz for some values of "good". The first season is by far less nightmare fuel than everything afterward. And consider that the first season ends in a EVEN MORE PAINFUL version of the "Full Metal Alchemist Chimera" story
then, from there onward, the title becomes reality - that manga must have come from the abyss of hell.

@ShayminGratitude Made in Abyss is trauma at every level. I don't follow the comic exactly because of that. If you thought that the anime was pure fear, consider this.... It gets far worse after that.

The issue with Made in Abyss is not the fact that it is "horror". If that was the problem, it would be just like Uzumaki or the first Alien movies.
The problem is that it has Alien level of horror with characters that are not exactly space marine soldiers. And that makes everything worse very quickly. So, don't worry, I understand completely your point since I stopped following that in the first place.

It takes quite a bit of twisted mind to be able to design someone (Bondrewd) that manages to make Cesar from the Punk Hazard One Piece arc look like a good guy by comparison.
And for more added context..
Have you by chance heard about the mess with that recent game, Stellar Blade?
That is Cero D.
The MiA game...
is CERO Z
11:38 AM
@SPArcheon Haha, ok yeah, some values of 'good' :) I think I recall someone talking about the end of S1 now... yeah...
@SPArcheon Haha, yeah probably does take a little bit of skill
@SPArcheon I have heard of a mess, not sure if I know the mess you're talking about. All I heard was people aren't happy the MC's model is a scan of (IIRC) the creator's wife or something, and then some nonsense about calling the women a child.
@Peilonrayz I mostly meant "extreme fanservice", still got CERO D, while with the MIA game they didn't even try and went straight for Z
Oh yeah, I heard something like the hard difficulty being enabled by a skin suit or something... All just seemed like a bunch of noise so I didn't follow much. Ah kinda like MAL's R vs Rx -- one's ecchi the other hentai -- both 'adult' but one more so than the other?
I would not call MIA that. The central issue is that is plenty of body horror
Ah, yes sorry. I meant one's adult but 'soft' the other's adult but 'hard' -- but the categories being different MAL's being sex, MiA being horror/gore.

Mitty was human. I don't know how you would define what she turned into, but it kinda looks like D&D wall of flesh...
12:12 PM
Mitty...
12:26 PM
@AndrewT. after season one they got worse. They felt the urge to show you the "what if this wasn't as horrible" scenario
and then, they punch you in the stomach again.

@SPArcheon It's funny the other day I was trying to remember the name of this game, I googled "popular korean video game steam" to no avail, then I tried "korean video game objectify women" and got it in the first result. LOL
the level that it goes to do fanservice is not that worrying compared to many gatcha games these days
so i'd say the press is just marketing in disguise
unless there's something in the plot like in valkyria chronicles 4 that would displease some countries
@Gao I won't start that again here, you can see some older comments I made on the Bridge. Short version,I think that there are many agendas involved. And let's be serious... GTA isn't that better.

I don't know if the clothes are taken from some anime or what, but the premise is indeed funny since so far it is true.
3:54 PM
probably just generic student uniform/teacher outfit
(also, meanwhile in hsr)

I finished a playthrough of Omori. This game has lots of great themes related to mental health. One aspect that may be noticed early on is how each of the main characters has a different response to trauma, and how this leads to a lack of understanding and empathy between them. Omori is dissociative and withdrawn, Aubrey is angry and lashing out, Basil has a high amount of anxiety, Hero is depressed and withdrawn, and Kel is... moving on with his life, I guess.
oooh, neat
are there any hints that kel's still like kind of a fawn type or something, or is he just genuinely healed already
Hmm... I'll have to think that over.
I'm quite familiar with the fawn and freeze responses. They're the banes of my life.
Kehehe.
