@ShayminGratitude Do you prefer selective mutism that is "cured" by getting drunk (coff coff Big Bang Theory....) ?
-_-'
.... really, that show lowered my expectations in regards to representation of actual serious issues in fictional media.

for sake of disclosure:
I highly doubt someone on Meta will get the reasoning behind the picture, but I think it should be clear enough here.
SE still thinking its rep based model works when 299 rep in three months is enough to be in the top 8%....

@SPArcheon Not hard to find someone who says "yes", actually. reddit.com/r/selectivemutism/comments/usn656/…
Easier on the social anxiety subbreddit though, since there are more people: reddit.com/r/socialanxiety/comments/zi3ptu/…
I don't consume any drugs other than caffeine in tea, in part due to a fear of saying stupid things. As far as using any kinds of drugs to help, whether they be medically prescribed or not... To give a quote from Majin Buu that resonates with me: "If you take that out, I won't be me anymore."
It's troubling to see such a thing in Big Bang Theory. They already flubbed what Selective Mutism is.

@ShayminGratitude I don't know if I already discussed that in this room, but you can find plenty of similar comments I made in other rooms.
It is quite blatant to notice: Big Bang Theory theme shifted as the show went on.
At the start, the idea was that the "nerds" were actually smart for living the life as they wanted, without the idiocies of "social roles" and such.
then by the end... it became a story about growing up.
No wonder everyone (but Raj because reasons I guess?) gets married
Because that is what you have to do to success at life.

Yes, this seems familiar. I've seen your disdain for Big Bang Theory before. But literally all American sitcoms put romantic relationships as the quantifier for success, so I can't say I'm surprised.
@SPArcheon Oh, by the way, I figured out the ending to Girls Last Tour. Based on the foreshadowing, Yuuri probably ate Chito. Yuuri was chewing on Chito's hand or hair while they were sleeping at one point, and Chito had at least one dream where Yuuri ate her. And Yuuri held Chito at gunpoint to get the last piece of chocolate.

No reaction. Just a lifeless SPAcheon. It, uhm... was a joke... Though they had no food and in extreme survival situations, it wouldn't be totally unreasonable to assume... Well, at any rate, never mind.
