@ペガサスSeiya found you someone "stronger" - or at least faster - than Goku or even Whis.
The truck from Big Rigs...
^ @Memor-X I assume you get this one :P ?

1:29 PM
@SPArcheon Truck-kun's onii-san?

@Memor-X Never heard about an horrible game called "Big Rigs"?

nope

> There is no time limit to complete a race, and the opponent does not move.[a] The player's truck can pass through the opponent and all objects placed on the route due to a lack of collision detection. Off-roading bears no traction penalty, hills can be ascended and descended without affecting the truck's speed, and traversal is possible in the emptiness outside the game map. Completing a race rewards the player with a trophy bearing the phrase "You're winner !"

> The maximum reverse speed of the truck is 12.3 undecillion miles per hour, or over 18.3 octillion times the speed of light: this is fast enough to cross the entire observable universe in 160 picoseconds (in the same period of time, light would have traveled about 2 inches).
to put that into context, it still takes Whis some minutes to travel from their planet to earth.
this sprouted some funny arguments on reddit.

> Think about it: in the canon of Big Rigs, the truck (who I will from now on refer to as an anthropomorphous vehicle-themed superhero named Big Rig) has feats rivaling top-tier superheroes:
- phasing through literally any obstacle, no matter the density or size. Nothing physical can harm him.
- extreme kinetic manipulation, retaining speed no matter how quickly he alters direction, which is instantly.
- able to travel so fast that he ascends to godhood and becomes the entire universe, being everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

@SPArcheon how do you become faster than a guy who travels through time via sheer speed? (Whis)

@ペガサスSeiya See above.

@SPArcheon that's still only finite speed and, thus, slower than Whis. Definitely faster than Goku though

@ペガサスSeiya you become Chuck Norris
Chuck Norris doesn't go through Time, Time stands out of Chuck's way

@ペガサスSeiya see the other one. This line
> able to travel so fast that he ascends to godhood and becomes the entire universe, being everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
"being everywhere and nowhere at the same time." is backed by the game itself.
that speed actually causes the Truck to hit every checkpoint in the race at the same time despite never being there
it transcends speeds and becomes the Improbability Engine :P
@ペガサスSeiya also... does he? Whis can reverse time (5 minutes max) but seems to simply be "incredibly fast" other than that. Otherwise all exchanges between him and Beerus make no sense, including the "I could watch an anime episode by the time we reach King Kai planet" one.
Basically, Sonic actually tops Whis on that one since in Sonic CD you actually DO travel in time due to extreme speed.
Unknown if that is just Sonic or something specific to the planet you are on though.

3:04 PM
@SPArcheon wanna go fast? do it in reverse! :p
oh, I missed it in the subtlety...

3:20 PM
@SPArcheon that is omnipresence. Less a tier of speed and more a state of being
@SPArcheon yes, that's whis's "usual" speed but he has stated that he can go faster. Remember the Arale filler in DBS? Whis travels to earth in one minute our time (which means even less time in DB world) and confirms this by saying "I've never gone that fast before". At the end of future trunks arc, whis travels to a different timeline to warn that beerus of zamasu's problem, and he didn't use a time machine, implying that he can time travel via speed alone
@SPArcheon also his exchanges with beerus make sense. He can't use his full power and speed, as we saw what happened to angel Merus when he did that. Whis would be risking total erasure if he tried to go full power.

@ペガサスSeiya To be fair, it is implied he can time travel somehow, not by speed. As far as we know the staff could even work as a better version of the rings used by kaioshin.
could be innate time travel, could be a device like the staff, we can't know.
That said the joke is that Big Rigs is so broken that it has created an entity that is more broken than Goku.
Never underestimate the final power in existence.
Bugs.

@SPArcheon true but that would be contradictory to the narrative. Even the deities aren't allowed to move unfettered through time, so the grand priest teaching whis time travel techniques doesn't make sense. If only makes sense that he can do it via sheer speed alone
It is true that at a certain point of power/speed in dragon ball, you can affect time itself or simply negate time manipulation, as shown by Goku and Jiren. So its entirely possible for Whis to do something like that with his own power

@ペガサスSeiya The part with Jiren to be fair is one of the biggest idiocy in all DBS
At the start they explained Hit as "I can skip some fraction of time that increases every time I mention it but since Goku is more OP he manages to counter that by predicting where I will be after the skip"
Then Hit evolved to actually "store time" and then "use it to create pocket dimension"

@SPArcheon dragon ball is supposed to be idiotic at this point
It isn't supposed to make sense. That's the point

so, when Goku tries to hit him during that horrible character development episode "I paid you to kill me" (that only proves he is indeed horrible, selfish, not caring at all about his family and certain not a "pure heart" by that point - unless "pure idiot" counts. I assume that even D&D has "pure chaotic") he can't because Hit doesn't even exist in the same timeline.
But then... Tournament and Hit is used as the Yamcha - another lame thing DB keeps doing.
one character - usually Yamcha at the beginning then Vegeta afterward because Vegeta=hated by Tory - is used only to show how strong new foe is
So, now Jiren is so strong that he can punch Hit in another timeline.
Jiren could probably hit ZAMATSU in the future Trunks timeline by punching the air at the tournament.
anyway...
> At that point, the kinetic energy contained within the truck would be equivalent to the energy released by a quasar if compressed over one hundred Nonillion years (1032 years) of uniform production. That means that if you were hit by this truck, it would be like every atom in your body being shot with an individual supermassive black hole cannon fourteen thousand times over
Emphasis mine. Ironically, actual numbers manage to make that look more scary than Battle of Gods punches shaking the universe

3:39 PM
@SPArcheon this actually makes sense, considering that Jiren was confirmed by the Kais of U7 and U10 to be above Zamasu and, in Dragon Ball Heroes, he just straight up dominates Fused Zamasu in a fight
He's the real Gary Stu of dragon ball

@ペガサスSeiya My actual headcanon is that Dragon Ball Heroes is Fu drunken dreams after a party he had when the crystal raid in Xenoverse 2 finally dropped that 0.00001% final piece of Videl swimsuit.
That would explain a lot.
After all, he was the one who tried to replace SSGB with SSJ4.
(which I totally agree with btw, far better design.)

SSJ4 >>>>> SSB
Reject godhood, return to monke

VS
I mean, they can "win" on the numbers... but DBS "transformations" are really lame
Recolors.
That is so "80' jrpg" vibe

DBS power levels should now be measured in "number of universes destroyed per second"

compare with G5.
that is a far better design, more creative and all.
Full Cowl? Better
Even the Adola Burst is better.
Dragon Ball "power ups" are kinda meh visually.
I mean, you can get new Piccolo just by dropping you old figure in orange paint... :P
(and yet he somehow manages to get in Xenoverse 2 while we still lack other characters - where is Roshi for example? Why Magenta is just an outfit??)

reddit.com/r/selectivemutism/comments/1036ulm/… Wow, thanks to the Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil Within Me game, we've got some more selective mutism representation in media! And this representation can go right into the garbage bin right along with Raj from Big Bang Theory. Changing it from "elective" to "selective" was supposed to signify it's not a choice. So much for that, since this game can't get that right when explaining it.
Side note: Though it's hard to gauge, the selective mutism community on reddit seems to have an overall favorable impression of Komi Can't Communicate, even listing it in their resources. I've seen people complain about it there, but I've also seen people say they like it. Personally, I agree with amamirantarou's review here: anime-planet.com/anime/komi-cant-communicate/reviews#111714
Komi isn't fun for me to read, but for some reason I keep reading it, just because my local library keeps getting volumes. Sigh. Welcome to the NHK, Watamote, Bocchi the Rock, and even Hitori Bocchi are all better in my opinion. Technically speaking though, those are all just social anxiety depictions, and Komi does match selective mutism much more closely.

@ShayminGratitude Wait, did you really expected Big Bang Theory representation to be good?
That show was probably intended to be bait-and-switch from the start.

@SPArcheon No, I guess not, lol.

Begins as a show where the "nerds" are actually the "better" characters, then it slowly changes to the story of a bunch of kids growing up.
empowering trash concepts like "fitting in == be like others", "you are too old for fairy tales" etc etc etc as the series went on.
On a side notice, I just noted how horrible is stack imgur jpeg compression.
All the stable diffusion images I posed have compression artifacts thanks to that.

I agree with you about Big Bang Theory. Also, deja vu: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/58064645#58064645
