Can't bother to do the math myself, but it goes by the common felling that is almost impossible to get a not-rate-up 4* in the event banner.

You either get weapons or one of the 3 rate up most of the time.

Can kinda confirm since in all the time they played so far, my friend managed to get a not rated up char from the Event banner exactly once.

I would say that this needs to be changed FAST.

They are reaching a point where the limited pool of character on events means that you will C6 the recurring Barbara/Noelle very fast. Then... nothing.

The 4* to 5* ratio is kinda skewed

Inazuma has 3 announced new char - two 5* and a single 4*

The leaked... most seem 5* too.

Seems the start of a 4* starvation, and if you add that on top of the design of the Event Banner it means trouble.

You will come to the point where the standard banner is the best way to get new 4* characters since its 4* pool is the only one that keeps increasing, but at the same time is useless for 5* since after you got the few non-limited ones there is no hope to get anything new - only constellations that many don't care about.

Event will be the opposite, wasted primos for the same few characters (really, Noelle and Barbara are TOO FREQUENT.) just to reach the pity.

Basically, they are getting themselves into the same problem games like One Piece Treasure Cruise have. Banners that have limited pool that you exhaust fast, leaving you with only dupes.

Yet, it is worse in a way since here the pool is far smaller and you get only one character per banner.

Compare with One Piece/Dokan etc average banner

usually about 10 "legends", one being the new one with lower %, two - three still recent ones and then all the useless ones thrown in to dilute your pulls.

I already have enough trouble getting noelle constellations as it is

the point is that so far to get an event character you have no option but to get whatever other load of the same three 4* rate up they put on the banner

the system should be totally reworked and even if gacha is still gacha I see a ton ways to make that more bearable...

But I am a nobody and they will never read those ideas

for one, put rate ups on standard and everyone equal on event.

Get less dupes and gives a reason to exist to standard.

or have it so that C7+ gives something more noteworthy.

like tickets - every ten dupes one 4* of your choice...

Either way, I see a point where the starvation of 4* will hit.

That said, I would personally say that Venti design I don't like that much, Zhongli looks more credible.

Probably deliberate.

But many non-archon look better than the archeon so far

Raiden could change that if the rumors about her having two modes / a transformation like Xiao are true.

To be fair, little I saw Zhongli shield feel a little "exagerated"

It is true that it is too good but the problem in the game is mostly damage output, not mitigating incoming damage

There are a few specific situations when the damage gets so chaotic that you need shield

learnt that fighting the oceanid with diona as the only dps dealer for the birds..

Said before. The game kinda forces the player to focus on a few character but that is a trap too since some abilities are almost build to counter specific monsters.

Well, the endgame in this is artifacts and weapons. So once you have enough C6 charas, start focussing on the blackcliff weapons in shop.. best investment imo..

The way this gacha manages limited character is self damaging in a way.

the point is that while the pity is technically 90, the perceived pity for a low spender is 180.

So if you have no expectations and just want a 5 star pity is 90 but if you want someone the actual pitty is 180. is this what you mean?

If you wanted Klee during Eula banner, even if you could get to the next pity before the end of her banner, being currently on 50% means that pulling Eula damages you chances to get Klee

If you don't get Eula on the 50%, your next pity on Klee is indeed Klee guaranteed, but you have lost an opportunity to get her for "half the wishes" in a way.

And if you win and get Eula, now your Klee is in the hand of RNG

So, even if you have enough for two pity, it is better to wait till the character you really want.

Basically what I mean is that on paper the pity is 90, but you really want 180 because of the stupid 50% thing

@SafdarFaisal I had talked with @hyper-neutrino about this in the past, came up with two possible reworks.

Either make it so that if you don't have the current event character you get it 100% on the first pity - doesn't make much difference for whales incomes since they go for c6 anyway or at least make the 50% failure something that feels "good" too.

For example, have the 50% be 50% the current character and 50% the previous one

So on Klee it would be 50% Klee, 50% Eula.

but those are only rants....

Still rants I have to hear daily since the friend of mine that plays the game wanted Klee and got... Jean instead.

Quite strong, but they are not really fond of the Lady Oscar crossed with Saber design

(at least if it was full Lady Oscar it would be funnier)

@SafdarFaisal Basically yes (see above for the full fledged version) with the only additional notice that the "no expectation" also means that 50% of the time the character is from a quite small pool with quite high % of dupes after a while
