@Tonepoet router blown?

Wow 33 dead now. :(

@forest yeh but that number has been steady so here's hoping that's all

"only 33"
Hell most mass shootings in the US don't even get nearly that many people.

@forest yeh but they have way more shootings in general
in japan this is still a rare thing

Murders aren't that rare. They just aren't reported in the media as much.
They have more stabbings. You'd be surprised how much more efficient a knife is, given that it doesn't helpfully alert everyone in a mile radius to run for cover.
Why is there no [spoilers] tag btw?

@forest on the main site?

8:21 AM
yeah
Would be useful to blacklist.
Plus then I could add it to the question I made which has spoilers.

Is nyaa.si down?

9:53 AM
@forest it's blocked in Australia so i can't really check myself unless i swap the wifi adaptor

oh
It's giving 403 for me but I'm not sure how long it's been doing that.

@forest isn't 403 forbidden? could try changing to the google dns to see if that changes anything

Nah I'm using Tor, so it might be blocking Tor, but I've never seen Nyaa do that before.
ffs apparently it is blocking Tor

10:12 AM
the one time google thinking it knows what i am looking for fails big time, i try looking up why Nyaa is blocking Tor and instead all my results are how to bypass it in australia

heh
Their IRC channel is on Rizon, so when I get my proxy up and running I guess I'll ask them.
My guess is they just installed a security module which does it by default.
I would have used the pantsu Nyaa but for some reason someone spammed it with CP. :/

cp?

Child porn.
Idk why anyone would spam that site with CP but it kind of makes me not want to use the site.

@forest because they are fuck wits or they want to make up a story or want to get the site taken down

They probably got banned or something and want revenge.

10:21 AM
@forest very likely

I know some guy who accidentally downloaded that shit with a P2P program. Turns out the file was intentionally given a benign name to trick people. Forensic evidence showed it was deleted within seconds after being opened. Guy still got 10 years in prison and tried to kill himself a few times.

but really shows your character when you have child porn on your PC to spam on a site

So I'm always hesitant about downloading from a site that's under a CP spam attack.

@forest sounds like a honey pot to me

Feds intentionally leave that stuff up and just monitor the swarm's IPs.
Because they feel better about themselves if they arrest people, instead of actually, you know, trying to find the source of abuse and stopping it at its root. Because that would be hard.
And I think what happened to the guy I knew was that he just hit a monitored swarm. Most honeypot torrents/e2dk files/etc are clearly named if they're illegal. The one he found was given a benign name.

10:27 AM
also seems unethical. until it was opened there was no way of knowing the content and there's already been a case a company seeded torrents to then bring legal suits to the downloaders but they lost because they themselves were in the wrong by facilitating it

Feds don't care about that. A few years ago, FBI ran a CP site themselves.
Distributing hundreds of gigabytes of data to catch like... 10 random people.
They literally arrested the owner of the site, so they could have just shut it down.
But they decided not to. And they get to do it, because they're above the law.

11:05 AM
@forest that's not so bad because i assume the site was obviously a child porn site
it's different if you hide what it is and an unsuspecting person gets it,like say having a torrent and making it seem innocent because you wont catch the paedophiles with that

@Memor-X No but the FBI was distributing it.
It's as if I killed people for a living as a contract killer, just so I could arrest the people who pay me to do the dirty deeds. The problem isn't the arrests, it's me killing people. It's like that.
I mean obviously not as extreme as murder, but you get the point.

@forest however it would be off setted if those people were arrested an no one was killed. with the feds running a child porn site it's like a sting operation, however the thing breaks down if you don't then bring in all the people
it might be different now but i remember when child porn was only in the Dark Web and getting into that was not an easy thing
so generally your normal innocent person would never got to those sites and the only people who knew of them were paedophiles
obviously i don't have all the details and if the sting was done right but running a dark web website as a sting operation and masking your normal torrent to be something their not as a sting to me are different and the latter is wrong because torrenting isn't illegal, it's the contents of the torrent and if you obfuscating that then you are running into murky water with trying to prove guilt
like say you hosted a torrent for people to download and the contents were legal, let say it was a collection of database data for doing machine learning, and then the fed came and replaced it with child porn but still made it look like your original torrent. when people downloaded it they knew they were downloading machine learning data so in a court they can not be shown to be guilty of downloading child pronography

@forest because spoiler is subjective: anime.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/90/…
like, every questions about new anime are spoiler to me because I don't watch anime anymore

now things get a bit murky when your pirating but they still can't charge you for child pornography offences but at the same time (IANAL) it's hard to convict you of piracy because of the methods used
@AndrewT. you need to watch more anime

Q: Why is this guy handcuffed censored?

heccin weeabroThis is the episode when the guy was found out asking for low-angle pics from young kids. Aren't kids/teens supposed to watch people get arrested or it's just an exaggeration? or they are hiding other than the handcuff? Tags: uchi no maid ga uzasugiru

> all of the past animation materials and computers housed in Kyoto Animation's 1st Studio building were destroyed in Thursday's fire in the building. Hatta told the media, "The [monetary] amount of the damage? Extreme. I don't know the full details."
> Of those confirmed dead, firefighters found two people on the first floor, 11 people on the second floor, one person in a stairwell between the second and third floors, and 19 people on the stairwell between the third floor and the rooftop.
^^ Fucking roof door was probably locked as everyone was suspecting.

Q: Why the "½" in the title of "Ranma ½"?

MithrandirRanma ½ (Japanese: らんま½) is a manga, and later an anime, that tells the story of Ranma Soatome, a boy who due to an accident while doing martial arts training in Chine is cursed to become a girl when he comes into contact with cold water, while warm water will return him to a male state. (His fat...
