@Gao Hmm, I am not so sure know about that hypothesis: Azumanga Daioh is perhaps the study case on school anime, and it has some unusual circumstances, but I am not so sure that it goes so far as to be extraordinary. Yeah, it's funny, but much of the humor is predicated upon believability.
K-On! and Lucky Star aren't so different in that regard either. Granted, you also have shows like Pani Poni Dash! and the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumia, with perhaps Nichijou falling somewhere in between, but I'm not so sure if there's a strong trend towards the extraordinary.
@Tonepoet I've only read the manga (not yet the part where they're not in high school anymore), and while people love them, they're not yet cut out to be big stars, and are not even described as actually good musicians x3
@Morwenn Hmm. that's an interesting point. In the manga much is probably left up to interpretation I suppose, but I have the show, and in that you see 'em perform and hear 'em play.
@Tonepoet Wow that's very specific. I'm not familiar with the chronicles of Touhou games, but I guess 6-9 includes most common characters like eientei crews, byakuren and nue etc, the tengus, moriya shrine, and satori?
@Gao It stops just before the Moriya Shrine actually. Although I do like them, and consider them to be part of the fundamental windows era, I'm not as strongly interested in the Mountain of Faith characters.

From what I can remember: Regular .NET = The original APIs, only supported on windows. .NET Core = Cross-platform, doesn't implement all the original APIs though.
