how's things?

@Memor-X Started working again yesterday. Apparently 3 weeks of holiday is enough for a lot of things to happen. So I am mostly playing catch-up with all my email, and getting a lot of information from a lot of colleagues, either due to them going on leave, or quiting all together. Combined with the lack of sleep due to the extended high temperatures I would say I could be somewhat better

How are your holidays going?

@Dimitrimx good. had hoped to watch more She-ra but only had 1 weekend day who's morning didn't get stuffed up and tomorrow is dealing with the dam sheep. but finally completed Tales of Xillia and onto Tales of Xillia 2, started watching Naruto in the afternoon to try and make a dent with my anime backlog

and found out that despite having sent an email requesting it and not ever getting a response (even to reject my request) i'm not approved to work from work. found this out when my people manager called ip. now i have to work from home and have told my people manager that it will impact my productivity

have to check my work laptop to see if if i've gotten any replies yet, otherwise with sprint planning i will have to reduce my intake of tasks

@Dimitrimx quitting as in being laid off or just leaving?

@Memor-X Hope for you they will just accept the reduced productivity (or revise their decision)

They felt like they where not priority, and would always be pushed to the side if it would be ever so convenient. So they decided to up and quit.

@Dimitrimx that's a shame. i assume they were things only management can do something about

@Dimitrimx i hope they revise. might be improved if i had a dedicated room to be my home office set up how i want it, but problem is that even if i got the first, i'd never get the second as things are currently at home

I believe the show was about a trio? of actors, and I think they were acting in a show about themselves. One of the main characters/actors was a small, purple monster thing, but I don't believe anyone else in the show was non-human like he was. It played in English on one of the public television stations like Fox in the early 2000s. The opening theme was Buddy Holly by Weezer.

@AndrewT. Yeah, no sci-fi elements, otherwise I would ask there. I was surprised to see that the ID tags on movies & tv were taboo, but I don't spend much time on that site.

M&TV followed Anime.SE after they successfully blacklisted ID requests...

hmm, the "small, purple monster thing" is almost fantasy I guess, but still your choice

It really wasn't fantasy, though. I don't think anyone ever acknowledged the fact that his appearance was abnormal, but everything else generally followed "reality" with typical anime tropes

I remember being really confused how that character fit into everything.

I guess we can try, though we're more about (Japanese) anime & manga enthusiasts, not Western cartoon :/

It may have just been anime inspired, and not actually made in Japan, though. This was a long time ago and I was relatively young at the time

The Buddy Holly theme is a little confusing, though, and may have only existed in the English dub (if it was originally a Japanese show)
