anyways, I've just watched overlord s2 e1-e5 witch covers the lizards story, and it's meh. Anime is too condensed, it leaves lots of details that were in the LN.
and so I've found myself picking up and dropping a bunch of stuff, because I like to imagine that the things would go the way I imagine, and knowing that they most probably won't
there were a couple mangas that I've put on a fuckennn hoooollllldddd because I thought what just happened in the last few pages is gonna wrecc the story and I can't handle iiiiiit
but in a couple weeks I returned to it and it was all fine after that, but the emotions I have experienced during that time were hard to describe
@Abyx yes, indeed. But it's only a better plot for me, not for the author in terms of ease of writing the story from there on, and in terms of reaching the maximum possible target audience at their level of interest and competence as a manga creator
that's a common problem with movies, games and anime
on books you can just describe any fantasy you want, and leave a lot to the imagination of the readers
who will gladly take that by the way
but if you wanna do something like Discworld or Hitchhiker, it's gonna come out 6/10 coz not everything has aligned perfectly in the movie production world to make it exactly as the book author intended
and some book stories just dont translate into a visual medium well
like how are you gonna do a long sequence of inner dialogues
some movies tried it but it was very awkward and they didn't get oscars for that
I recently tried un-infusing some of my items and it turned out that not only most enemies are resistant to certain elemental damage types, but the stat bonuses rise a lot and the raw damage gets hiiii
I used to think infusing melee weapons with raw stone boosted the total damage but it actually reduces it for weapons with strength/dex bonuses
so watched the first 2 episodes of Cardfight Vanguard. currently no mysticism in it but the rules seems strait forward enough to watch even with subtitles

if it's actually becoming an anime then i'm looking forward to see Cardinal in an actual humanoid form

@Memor-X Nah, the Yuri tag actually obfuscates the results, because instead of seeing a bunch of coincidental uploads, you are forcing the results to appear. Restrict a search too much and you won't be able to tell, at a glance, how new the uploads are in relation to others either. I only felt it was worth commentary because it seemed like a person posted a whole bunch of relatively new material. XP

I love TG and have the manga and am such a complete fanboy its probably kinda cringy, but i have a question today. Can someone please explain to me why Kuzen doesn't have red eyes when wielding his kagune?

Like in the anime the last episode of the arc was pretty undermining... Ains comes... Does some weird power display, cocyutus does something.... That's it
the main point of this arc is how the lizards go to war to limit their population, and running away leads to even more deaths and cannibalism. Also there was a long explanation of how those lizards-travelers communicate with humans. On the Nazarick's side, it was an experiment to understand if cocyutus could grow by learning, and get lots of undead from the corpses of lizards (IIRC there were some issues with undeads spawned by Momonga so he had to use corpses)
