@Memor-X Keine is a were-hakutaku and much like a werewolf, or Great Ape Goku she receives a massive powerboost over her regular form from the full moon. She's green, and the hakutaku elements of her body are more pronounced. You can see for instance that she's no longer wearing her signature hat, presumably because her horns have grown too long for it to fit on her head anymore. Her color scheme also changes from being blue to green for some reason.

@Memor-X The reason Gallifreyan reminded me of Keine though primarily has to do with what he said. She says something along those lines (I don't remember exactly what it was) as her only piece of dialogue prior to fighting her as a midboss in the EX stage, in reference to Mouku. Her appearance there, and that line, is the primary basis the fandom has for their relationship.

Keine's a highly protective of humans in general (It's why she fights you as the stage 3 boss: She assumes you want to harm them) and as what I've just explained suggests, she is especially protective of Mouku.

@Memor-X I'll only buy games digitally if they're part of a humble bundle, so I can slide the donation slider all of the way up and deny anybody even a bit of profit. That's because I think the resale rights associated with physical media are important for the preservation of culture, so physical media (unfettered with license keys) is the only thing I'll buy... =\

It's terribly restraining.

@Tonepoet yeh i'd like to do that to (focus on physical media) but i got Total War: Shogun 2 the other day and it required Steam to be online to install despite not mentioning it at all on the cover. even console games there are some games where i miss out on a physical release like Black Rock Shooter and Battle Princess of Arcadia

@Memor-X Yeah, I understand. It's really difficult to acquire everything you want in a physical format. with that having been said though, it's a dealbreaker for me until copyright law becomes more reasonable about the limitations on commercially discontinued games.

Otherwise what you have is a situation where games and the like can be withdrawn from circulation altogether, or rather, at least legal circulation.

@Memor-X The issue here is that provided that the full versions are on disc, the copyright holder can't prevent the disc from being resold, and (if unfettered with D.R.M.) reused.

It might be expensive to buy old rare games, but it's preserved for people who desperately want to play it after somebody else has had their fun.

@Memor-X That of course, relies on the game being rereleased. Nobody can really ever count on that.

Now it's not that I'm dying to play Darkspore, but it's the sort of tragedy I fear most.

I never really exceeded the $100 mark, on a per game basis, when buying games as of yet.

I might've come close when buying Megaman X3 for the S.N.E.S. though. I feel silly now that the Megaman X collection exists, although on the other hand I usually prefer to play the original versions when possible.

@Tonepoet well i'm used to paying $100 for PS2 games brand news, these were coming from the states (because .hack//G.U was never released in PAL until Last Recode) and rare enough since it was a bicth already to get the original 4 games so after currency conversion ~$200 wasn't that bad

which i also found out that Comic Yuri Him is released on the 18th of every month, seems like December is a break month

so for those who are reading the scanlation. you got a week or 2 before you get the next chapter

for me, i'm waiting for the english tankōbon from Seven Seas which is about 2 volumes behind Japan and Volume 9, after tomorrow, is still 1 chapter (and some extra chapters) off before becoming a tankōbon if the 4-chapter-per-volume format

@EarlGrey well remember that Comic Yuri Hime is like Shounen Jump and Shounen Jump had Naruto and One Piece which are 2 very different art styles

so 1 release of Comic Yuri Hime will serialize a bunch of titles from different mangaka. it's just a shame it doesn't have even a delayed English release like Shounen Jump
