@Zanna Are you currently using any remote for your recipes repository?

Since that has many commits that should not be lost, I hope you're not holding off on doing so until your Raspberry Pi is up and running! :)

(It is possible to change what remote you use for a local repository. It is also possible to configure a local repository to use multiple remotes.)

no doubt I should be doing many things :(

For preventing data loss, a traditional backup (like, regular copies archived somewhere physically separate) is sufficient so long as they are made regularly enough. You don't have to sync to a remote.

@Zanna If you want a remote that's quick to set up and reliable, you could have it use a private repository on GitHub. (Or a public one.)
