I'm sorry, but "bunch of psychopaths happen to call the shots from behind the scenes" or "the Parliament or House of Poncey Stooges With Wigs or whatever" is not rude?
Where's the limit to what is considered rude?
@yannis can I disturb you to ask you to help me understand? (If really necessary I can ask on meta, but I don't feel like it should be really needed)

2:32 PM
It's not a direct personal attack, more of a "strong expression of opinion". So I'd say it's not "rude" (but it is probably inappropriate for the site, barring some extraordinary context).

? ok, I don't agree, but if that's the rule/definition, I'll keep it in mind.

2:51 PM
Well, context is everything
If it's a comment it should probably be deleted, but when a "rude or offensive" flag for an answer is marked as helpful , it will incur penalties against the user, and it's probably not strong enough for that
Oh, found the answer. It's a pretty bad answer.
But IMHO not "rude or offensive"

@Federico eh, it's a juvenile choice of words but he isn't cursing or attacking someone directly. I didn't handle the flag, but I don't see a reason to (mod) delete the answer.
that said, regular users with deletion privileges should absolutely vote to delete it.
Some of the comments, on the other hand, were outright rude. I've already sent a mod warning, we'll see how it goes.

3:52 PM
ok, thanks to both of you for the explanations.
@yannis right, I did not think of the fact that it would have beem mod-deleted
@Carpetsmoker and I was unaware of the fact that this type of flags has different weight between answer and comment

For comments it actually matters very little which flag you use. AFAIK there is no way mods can get a list of "show all rude comments by this user", and it's not fed in to any automatic system, either
For questions and answers you get a -100 rep penalty for rude and spam flags, and I believe it feeds in to various auto-ban systems

4:30 PM
oh, I see
on a side note, I think that one of my NAA flags must be handled by a mod, since the post has been marked as "accepted"

@yannis a mod declined my NAA flag on that post (the was not the one I was referring to in my previous message)

@Carpetsmoker Unfortunately, I noticed that trend around here :/ What worries (?) me is that the reviwers are as partial as the poster (being the same people) so it seems harder to clean out rants. (that post was in review and it got out with 2 "looks ok")

Well, on the upside two-thirds got that review right @Federico :-)
