@Secret Who gets to judge what is sensible and logical? Motivated reasoning more than guarantees that ideological bent of the judge will affect the judgement.

would arguments that is based on what is observed in reality a sufficiently objective criteria for being logical (after all we all live in real life and if anything contradicts what is observed then it will be er... less consistent?)

or is the above reasoning only valid for those who endorse a pragmatic and evidence based view?
