In anticipation of cross save and New Light, I've been installing Destiny 2 on my computer. I started the download around noon. It's at about 60%

90 GB game...

@Sherlock9 sure; send me an email to griptopgames@gmail.com

ok, terraria server is running. You can add me MrTi or somebody else playing the game, and then join the PPCG server, password cgcc

14 hours later…
Pretty good level name

3:17 PM
Jeeeeez

That's cray

3:55 PM
@DJMcMayhem how much longer did you play after I left?

@NathanMerrill Maybe 10 minutes

find anything cool down in the pit?

Not after you left
I think we're going to need to make NPC houses soon
Does Thorium introduce new NPCs?

Yes
They fill up pretty fast. In my other world, I'm currently on 16 houses, and I have only beaten Eye and Patch Werk
I think I have 13/16 of them filled

I'm glad we found the patch werk. That helped progression a lot, and it was super easy because of lucky positioning ha

4:01 PM
He's usually that way. I was able to beat him in a similar manner in my other world
I'm guessing he's intentionally slow and clunky

@NathanMerrill That title reminds me of this gem: Link in Park

hahaha
that is a gem

You don't need a whole house for an NPC ...?

NPC Apartment all day.

NPC-barely-apartment-because-they-only-get-a-table-and-a-chair all day.

NY Apartment

Thorium adds 10 NPCs, so you need room for 33

33 mansions you say?

Anonymous
1 mansion, 33 cubicles in the sweatshop underneath the mansion

Will NPCs walk up stairs?

Nurse got into my room in our world, so I'd assume yes

So, if you put stairs up from each of the cubicles, you could have them all effectively live in the mansion
Oh, I thought that was the Nurse's room

5:45 PM
It was lol. It just wasn't intended to be

I think they can bounce up 1 high slopes.
Which is why the 2x2 pit in front of doors is a perfectly fine zombie trap

I played gloomhaven for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately, we were playing house-rules to let 5 players play. Which... Wasn't a great idea. Much too crowded
Especially since I was playing the beast tyrant
So not the greatest introduction. I'll try it out again sometime soon though

6:01 PM
NPCs in Terraria will "bamf" into a suitable room if you're offscreen from the room by enough distance

FFF 309 <- This was a neat read. Also, there's a link in there to a dungeon crawler with non-Euclidean topology which was neat too.

@El'endiaStarman I agree with all of those. Except for the ones by wheybags
I hate all of the ones that wheybags proposes

#1 and #6 by wheybags are good IMO

No way. I agree that having two buttons is confusing, but I'd argue for always-lock-on
And pipes are interesting. Electricity is interesting. But having two duplicate "puzzles" isn't really fun
I wouldn't want electricity to work like pipes, nor the inverse

I don't get what you mean. 'But having two duplicate "puzzles" isn't really fun', but you want them to not work the same way?

Correct. The fact that they work differently is a good thing. You have two separate layout problems

Wait, what does shooting with C do? I've never even heard of this before

9:10 PM
It shoots towards your cursor. Lets you destroy buildings

O_O
I thought you could only do that with shotguns
#1 could go either way, but I think his point on #2 is good.

I agree that it is confusing, but honestly, destroying buildings is so infrequent that I'd be ok removing that functionality until they get cars

No, I like having two buttons for it, that's great
I just didn't know about that until now

Well...actually, I'd probably go the Power-user hotkeys for that
you don't actually want to have that hotkey assigned
because I have frequently accidentally shot a building
which is really annoying
in regards to #2: He does make good points, but I personally don't want it :)
I'd be more ok with it if the biters tried different points over different attacks

Isn't that exactly what he's suggesting?
Probing defenses

9:15 PM
I'm assuming this is within a single attack
Maybe I'm wrong. But a gradual change of attack location is fine.
But I don't want to be forced to wall my base in
