So apparently defect strength builds are ridiculous. Vajra, 3x Girya, prismatic shard, limit break and barrage
And echo form to help get the ball rolling on limit break

PoE's current campaign, Blight, is pretty alright. But dang, that chick is on every map
Also, Arc + Herald of Thunder is pretty satisfying

@DJMcMayhem all of those are lucky to get. That just sounds like a super lucky run
I'm making a board game, and I'm trying to come up with a theme
What is something that people achieve, and typically has a fixed number of steps?
So, for example, a marathon is famously 26.2 miles
A marathon would work for my theme, except it is too big of a number
I'm looking for something in the range of 7 to 20. Ideally something in the middle.

@NathanMerrill Welll... Not entirely luck haha
It's endless and vintage
Orbs scale really well during the first run through, but if you're on endless, strength scaling through limit break ends up scaling way higher and faster

what is endless and vintage?
do I need to get back into StS?

Custom options. Endless is after you win, restart with stronger enemies (and eventually some other things to get it harder), vintage is normal enemies drop relics

ah ok :)

Pretty much the entirety of my block comes from genetic algorithm and calipers now
@NathanMerrill Is prismatic shard normally good?
It doesn't seem that good

9:37 PM
no, it's not. You get it when you want to have fun
It leads to ridiculously OP combos, but there are too many "ifs" for it to be good

The main reason I grabbed it was because i was hoping I'd grab Wish. Which would make this current build go from OP to ridiculous

Defect is also the best prismatic shard carrier because defect starts with 3 orbs.

True

Oh damn, Steam added remote local co-op (in beta). I wonder how playable that is, but that could make it a lot easier for me to find someone to play co-op levels in tricky platformers. :D
@NathanMerrill clearly, what you want is a half marathon.

10:25 PM
Not sure if you're bothered by a religious theme, but how about some kind of pilgrimage like the Camino de Santiago that you could break up into an arbitrary but suitable number of segments.

Actually, got a suggestion in another chat I think I'll go with: school. K-12 works pretty well
Sorry, should have updated the chat here :)

@MartinEnder That's a cool idea
