@Elva Same in Belgium: minimum is 20 days. Then in a lot of companies they do what's known as ADV ("Arbeidsduurvermindering"): in Belgium, the legal work week is 38 hours per week, but a lot of companies work 40 hours per week and give every 12 extra days off work to compensate

I mean, any company that actually wants to hire workers will offer some, though, and once PTO is offered, then (depending on states) there are legal requirements for the company to honor those terms, or pay out unpaid PTO

@Elva not even that, i know some people who've worked for companies that have straight-up reneged on PTO agreements

sure they can take it to court, and they did, but the part of the whole thing with these laws is that they're supposed to be preventative as well
