(jetpacks can't really maintain 3000, but it definitely matches what the American pilot saw, so something is weird here)

@TimStone yeah I have no idea
Seems that the FAA is still trying to figure out 1) who the fuck 2) why the fuck
Drone or guy, why are you chilling on the LAX approach path that seems like a great way to get hit by a 777

@TimStone there are some really good clips going around here
he took a four minute personal call from his son in the middle of the show

CNN: Capitol rioter charged with threatening to 'assassinate' Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/23/politics/garret-miller-capitol-riot-threaten-alexandria-ocasio-cortez/index.html
> Garret Miller of Texas faces five criminal charges stemming from the Capitol insurrection, including trespassing offenses and making death threats. Miller allegedly tweeted, "assassinate AOC," according to court documents.
> He also said the police officer who fatally shot a Trump supporter during the attack "deserves to die" and won't "survive long" because it's "huntin[g] season."
> Clint Broden, a lawyer for Miller, told CNN Saturday that his client "certainly regrets what he did."
> "He did it in support of former President (Donald) Trump, but regrets his actions. He has the support of his family, and a lot of the comments, as viewed in context, are really sort of misguided political hyperbole. Given the political divide these days, there is a lot of hyperbole," Broden said.
Oh screw you. He doesn't regret shit.

@Wipqozn well, he probably regrets getting caught

@MadScientist True!
I was actually going to type that but didn't

> Under the deal, workers will get a minimum 70-cent-per-hour raise in the first year, eventually rising to a $1.85 bump by the third year, Kane said.

That will push most of workforce past $20 an hour, said Kane, who added that employees would not be required to make an additional contribution to their family health care benefits as management had initially sought.
The vote was today and the contract passed with 97% approving

lol @ them trying to get the health care benefits contribution thrown in
"Sure we'll give you this raise, and we'll pass the cost along to you!"

For reference the union was seeking $1 per hour
So 70 cents increasing to 1.85 is pretty good

Yeah

And the workers appear to be happy with it given the vote

11:15 PM
That's excellent

it's a good thing that employer based health plans are still a thing such that union negotiations even have to consider them :)
