@fredley Was going to do this and you beat me to it

> “This child was lost during the violent riots in Philadelphia, wandering around barefoot in an area that was experiencing complete lawlessness,” the union claimed in a tweet and Facebook post that have since been deleted. “The only thing this Philadelphia police officer cared about in that moment was protecting this child.”
> But lawyers for the boy’s family say that story was a total fabrication.
> In fact, they say police yanked the boy from the back seat of an SUV after busting all of the windows and violently arresting and injuring his mother, who was later released without charges.

@Jolenealaska BBC report

shit

3:21 PM
@fredley @Ave you okay? Not sure where you are right now, but I know you were around that area at some point!

@Wipqozn I mean not for the last 10 years or so, but thanks!

@fredley Damn
err I mean, yay!
@BradC This is some top level scumbag shit right here

Ave
3:49 PM
@Wipqozn I'm alright, yeah (I live somewhat far from there). I've had some friends who have family and friends there, but they've all said that they're okay, thankfully.

Tim
On Nov 3rd, are early votes and VBM counted concurrently with in person votes? If yes, why some said that Trump might have a lead on that day?

@Tim because he wants to believe that so he can claim victory
and it would depend on state

4:16 PM
@Ave That's great!

Ave
@Ave *live

yeah I wasn't really sure where in turkey you were. I just knew you lived in turkey.
And also Turkey is waaaaay bigger than I realized
I'm so used to everything from not Noth America just being super small compared to north American countries lol

> President Trump to cause 100,000 Covid-19 infections between now and Monday evening
FTFY

@TimStone I'm impressed
you can tell he's desperate

Yeah he's gonna get a lot of people infected and then from the sheer thrill of it all his heart will explode as he gets on the stage for the 17th one
get 'em Larry

Tim
5:15 PM
Trump is working harder to get elected.

5:32 PM
Bodied by CNN PR, smh

5:43 PM
oh she's a sceintologist and a Trump supporter.
I'm shocked!

Just how political masks are just goes to show how completely dysfunctional your country is.
at least half of it anyways

6:04 PM
@TimStone If I was there to vote, I sure would get me an army jacket and a MAGA hat simply to not be bothered by "concerned watchers". You might get weird looks from people, but better than weird looks from assholes with guns. It's ridiculous that it has come this far in the cradle of modern democracy, but I guess you just gotta beat them pragmatically. It's not like they can know what you actually voted.

6:16 PM
@TimStone Oh FFS. Kirstie, really? All his fat-shaming, but that's OK? The only thing you're positively known for post-Cheers is staying relevant as your weight has done what it has done. POS stupid celebrity.

1 hour later…
Tim
Will mail votes be counted later than in person votes?
mail votes arrived earlier than in person votes on election day

Tim
9:11 PM
Is it correct that academia (STEM areas) have/produce a lot of conservative and right wing "elites"?

@Tim Scientists are not particularly right-wing in general, and many positions of conservatives today are pretty anti-science. So I don't think that is true in general. It wouldn't surprise me if fields like CS would lean more right though

Report: Sony to buy Crunchyroll for over $957 million: t.co/5AE6RiCMnx t.co/sCq2h0oHon
@BradC This is amazing
Also further proof he doesn't care about his supporters at all

@MadScientist I find that very hopeful.
