It is not that long since The Joe Rogan Experience went Spotify. I would expect that when that if somebody sings s $100 million deal, they would cover things like this - instead of trying to resolve them only later, when some problems arise.

> More than 20 people were at the party, with police told up to 500 people had attended the night before.
can we like......turn humanity off and on again?

@Nzall i've been hearing clips about maybe this or something very similar in the morning this weekend passed but they were also coming from very obvious right leaning opinion shows like The Outsiders so i figured this is just whining about accountability
> So, to be clear – if you work for BlackRock and you are dating someone who doesn’t work for a client of BlackRock’s, or a partner of BlackRock’s, or a supplier of BlackRock’s, then you don’t have to tell your boss that you’re getting down n’ dirty with them.

But if there is any possibility of a conflict of interest, or potential of the perception of a conflict of interest, they’re asking you to be open about it.
this makes perfect sense
or do we need a repeat of GamerGate but this time in [INSERT INDUSTRY]

The second ice age is upon us.

lmfao
It will be extremely funny for the President to start the debate complaining about this, an extremely dumb thing

I've been following the live-tweets of the Flynn hearing. Lots of interesting stuff (they are on a brief recess right now), but the above is the most newsworthy so far
That link is pretty sparse - in fact the judge asked her if she had any conversations with the President, she tried to claim executive privilege. Judge says "you don't even work for the government" and she reluctantly revealed the conversation(s), some very recent
Here's a better article about that moment in the hearing:
The next article in the NYTimes "Trump Tax" series:
> But while the story of “The Apprentice” is by now well known, the president’s tax returns reveal another grand twist that has never been truly told — how the popularity of that fictional alter ego rescued him, providing a financial lifeline to reinvent himself yet again.
> Mr. Trump’s genius, it turned out, wasn’t running a company. It was making himself famous — Trump-scale famous — and monetizing that fame.
Wish I could hear Gleeson's arguments, sounds like he's on fire
(he's the court-appointed amicus arguing against the motion to dismiss)

8:04 PM
The Biden campaign apparently already has "I paid more tax than Donald Trump" stickers out. I kinda want one.

8:20 PM
@PrivatePansy available for an appropriate price ($7.50 for two)

8:57 PM
So when does tonight's stress inducing segment of lies and nonsense start?

9:24 PM
@Wipqozn 9pm et as far as I read

10:00 PM
Yep, networks going live at 9pm Eastern/8pm Central
Presumably all the cable news networks are pre-gaming already...

Still not sure if I want to watch it live or not

1 hour later…
11:10 PM
@MadScientist Under no circumstances should anyone watch it, lol

11:29 PM
@Wipqozn Sky News here in Australia says they will stream it live starting 11am. that is 1 and 1/2 hours away from when this post was made. adjust accordingly

@TimStone Yeah I just wanted to make sure I'm not anywhere near a tv

@Wipqozn might want to count the Internet aswell
people are going to be giving their "hot takes" "live"
