@TimStone i'm sure the astronauts are relieved after that other rocket blew up ealier
May 27 at 7:05, by Memor-X
christ the first line just goes to show how much of a dick move this is

Also that sub is a cesspool, but it's got a lot of videos from the ground
Also the road was actually closed to cars apparently

@TimStone by address they mean increase the size of

Also the rioters burned down a public housing project, so that's a thing

1:04 AM
@TimStone jfc
I thought you were referring to the one "slowly" pushing its way through.. BUT NOPE
Holy fuck this sub is terrible. I need to a find a good twitter thread.
BUT
MAGA getting ganged up on v.redd.it/539qs1bgkz151
Another person running over protestors v.redd.it/n5bnnyetkv151
Van stolen from dealership v.redd.it/5eybt2rpox151

1:25 AM
apparently some guy in salt lake city brought a bow? (he missed and got tackled to the ground right after he shot)

@Unionhawk Shits fucked
I wonder how much longer this will go on, and how long until it happens again
I'm just assuming no change will come as a result of this

We'll, see yeah

1:44 AM
Like, there is this as an, occasionally stuff does change
The Cincinnati riots of 2001 were a series of civil disorders which took place in and around the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio from April 9 to 13, 2001. They began with a peaceful protest in the heart of the city on Fountain Square regarding the inadequate police response to the murder of unarmed African American 19-year-old Timothy Thomas. The peaceful protest soon turned into a march which went in the direction of the victims home neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine. The riots were the largest urban disturbance in the United States since the 1992 Los Angeles riots until...
Given the uh, conduct of CPD over the past day, and that this agreement is considered the gold standard adopted by other departments, and gestures at other departments, though,
Definitely time to revisit that 2001 treaty

2:09 AM
@Unionhawk He also shouted "All lives matter" which I'm not sure it's even worth coding your language at that point because clearly

2:32 AM
lol, because Merkel refused to show up for what he was clearly using as a photo op

3:27 AM
@TimStone lol, not surprised he's once again wanting Russia back him

apparently chicago pd are extremely convinced that there's a bus with 3,000 people from indianapolis headed their way?
like, "managed to convince dispatch to send out a helicopter to check" convinced

Trying to understand if they also believe this is one (1) bus

It's all thirdhand information on the scanner right now
False thirdhand information anyway
There's not a bus coming from Indianapolis
I'd like to see John Cranley try the outside agitators line lol
like where'd they come from John? Columbus?

for the most part from what I've seen the initial escalation has been made by the police
In fact, I can do partially informed anecdotes too, every city I've seen police started it
My favorite was the post of a multi-racial coalition of folks flipping a cop car with a caption "only white people are flipping this car" like, even if it was accurate it's not helpful and since it's not accurate it's less than unhelpful

@Unionhawk not contesting that but just put it there because it’s important to note that at least those in the video who are escalating stuff are young white people

4:36 AM
It's definitely a piece that a more well planned action would address explicitly, but in all things I default to at least St. Paul Principles
which came out of protests at the St. Paul RNC in 2008

1 hour later…
5:46 AM
What the hell is the point of this?
Like are these officers just insane
or are those their orders?

In the particular case, likely because markers happen to be the less-lethal round they had loaded
Similar responses to people just minding their own business on their own porch are fairly common
(in general the point of marker rounds is to tag someone in a crowd and then pick them up later for the crime of getting shot by a marker)
for instance in Dayton every St. Patrick's day DPD declares an unlawful assembly and orders everyone to go home, including everyone who is home on their own porch
In fact those are also always a case of DPD showing up and turning "Kiefaber street is closed to vehicle traffic, also it's an on campus residential street and it's midnight" into "Kiefaber street is now a god damn war zone for no good reason"

6:07 AM
@Unionhawk to try to prevent drunk driving?
@Unionhawk it’s so bizarre that they would do this.

@Stormblessed Just, because the street is full of people

Do they shoot paint out of the same gun as bullets?

I think markers are typically shot from a paintball type gun but I'm honestly not sure
I'm also fairly sure that they use completely dedicated less lethal weapons, to make sure not to grab the wrong shotgun in a case where they either do or do not want bean bags
Definitely want to avoid firing a slug when you're only authorized for less lethal

Will 2016 end by 2025?

One of them is a cop pepper sprayin someone from behind, who was uh, doing literally nothing?
Golly gee guys, I wonder all this tension has blown up into riots!
/r/publicfreakout seems less trash, but I havne;t looked at the comments
jfc, think this was already posted, but the police permanently blinded a reporter: twitter.com/killermartinis/status/1266786161143537669
cops beating up a senior who was doing uh, nothing: reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/gtsnll/…

I wonder how long until there's a massive covid outbreak in the protest cities

2:46 PM
> President Donald Trump said on Saturday that if protesters who gathered the night before in Lafayette Square, across from the White House, had breached the fence, “they would have been greeted with the most vicious dogs, and most ominous weapons, I have ever seen.”
jeez, I forgot about this, probably beause there's so many incidents it's hard to keep track reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/gtq6ri/…
On January 18, 2016, Daniel Leetin Shaver of Granbury, Texas was shot dead by police officer Philip Brailsford in the hallway of a La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in Mesa, Arizona. Police were responding to a report that a rifle had been brandished at the window of Shaver's hotel room. After the shooting, the rifle, which remained in the room, was determined to be a pellet gun. Following an investigation, Brailsford was charged with second-degree murder and a lesser manslaughter charge and found not guilty by a jury. Prosecutors argued the shooting was unjustified. In March 2018, it became known...
@Unionhawk HEre's a video of him lying about why he was attacked: reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/gtuqjx/…
and also showing him be attacked
Cops being all excited to start shooting people twitter.com/7interlude/status/1266598835213799424
"all lives matter" starts shooting at black people
Golly gee, why do people get the impression that "All Lives Matter" folks are just a bunch of racists?
How many cities are protests and riots going on in right now?

4:02 PM
> Cranley saying he's witnessed a lot of protesters with backpacks and says he believes that could be a sign they're not local.

"I don't know why you'd have a backpack if you lived here," he says.

Worth noting that I carry a backpack while reporting. https://twitter.com/nswartsell/status/1267123899986251777

@Unionhawk that's seriously stupid

WHERE DID THE NON-LOCAL PEOPLE COME FROM JOHN
COLUMBUS? AKRON? DAYTON? OH THERE'S PROTESTS THERE TOO WHY WOULD SOMEBODY TRAVEL TO CINCINNATI IN PARTICULAR THAT'S DUMB?

@Stormblessed Did Flint ever get clean drinking wateR?

@Wipqozn I think that was the state government’s fault?

4:15 PM
Chattanooga police chief tells officers OK with George Floyd death to turn in badges washingtontimes.com/news/2020/may/29/…
You know you did bad when the police chief tells officers they did bad
@Stormblessed I think. Just seeing FLint made me think about it.

I know the governor was blamed for it (lack of funding?)

Looks like it's getting fixed en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flint_water_crisis

Skimming that it like a lot of blame was on the state departments (run by the governor if it’s like most states)
July 2020 was the ETA on replacing everything but with COVID ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

didn't obama show up like "uh, let me be clear, sips, see, I don't have to do anything"
iirc?
They've been saying it's actually fine for years I thought
Even though that's extremely not true

@Unionhawk he authorized help from FEMA & DHS a little over a week after emergency was declared

4:42 PM
Police shooting at my press... and telling them pretty directly they don't care they're press twitter.com/MichaelAdams317/status/1266945268567678976
Good thing they pepper sprayed that guy lying on the ground co-operating that was a member of the press

the nazi potus just declared Antifa as a terrorist organization. I think it's time the rest of the world declared the USA as a fascist dictatorship.

Of note that it isn't an organization, so it's basically going to end up being anyone the government wants

Peaceful Protest Interrupted By Swarm Of Aggressive Black-Clad Militants theonion.com/…
Remember when The Onion wrote satire?
@Nzall I mean, pretty sure that's what everyone already believes
I believe it. The day the senate acquitted (or whatever) Trump was proof of that.
I avoided his twitter today until now. Thanks @Nzall.
(That's a sarcastic thanks. Trump is a bloody monster.)
Can someone please just storm the White h-- errr, the White Horse Stalls already!

@Wipqozn it went into lockdown the other day

I mean given that it isn't an organization at all it's just going to be defined by the FBI

@TimStone TIL Paw Patrol is Canadian

Real J Edgar Hoover hours

looooooooooooooool
Imagine being DeBlasio and not punching yourself in the face for sucking up to these chuds while they run down protestors and then they turn around and spit on you

5:21 PM
@TimStone it’s not organized

It gives police more cover to go hard after anyone who stands up against the right

5:59 PM
umm Jake Paul was allegedly looting a Scottsdale mall???

6:45 PM
Indeed
Apparently the Minneapolis police also targeted a Russian reporter so now Russia is very upset about violence against reporters, since again, we live in the dumbest hell

2 hours later…
@TimStone So they're essentially sending poison

9:14 PM
@TimStone this is insane
is Bolsonaro that stupid that he’d ask for that? There’s no way this goes well for anyone
Daughters of the Confederacy was burning or burnt down?

9:26 PM
More reporters being shot by police twitter.com/ChrisBishopL1C4/status/1266546753182056453
Actually is this one I already posted? There's been so many incidents it's hard to keep them all straight.

@Wipqozn The sheer number of police violence incidents the last day are insane.

@MadScientist Seriously. It's fucked.

And all those are reinforcing the point of the protesters, it's never been so well-documented and obvious that the US has a serious and systemic problem with police violence

@MadScientist And yet, there's still plenty of people willing to jump to the defense of the police, and say they've done nothing wrong.
Sadly, that includes the egomaniac running the country.

@Wipqozn I'm not sure there is anything to do with people that see these videos and think that's acceptable behaviour. But I think this has the chance to convince a lot of people that would generally not experience police violence themselves that there is an issue

9:36 PM
@MadScientist Hopefully that's true.

9:48 PM
If Trump gets his way, this is going to get really ugly

10:00 PM
I want to state for the record: If you were part of the "oh, it's just the Anarchists from Out Of Town that are burning things" or whatever, congratulations you played into this result

@MadScientist Agreed, although I suspect we've got different ideas of who the bad guys are...
@Unionhawk yeah they've destroyed the water in several places

10:54 PM
> A reporter interviews a #Minneapolis nurse who was working at the medical tent, treating a man bleeding badly from a rubber bullet wound.

Military police opened fire on the nurses, storming their tent. “I told him I wouldn’t leave him, I feel so bad” https://t.co/H0RpwwCdgD

@TimStone Holy shit. Again.
I wonder if he'll be charged with anything.

I'm honestly surprised that we're seeing more James Alex Fields Jr. style attacks given how fucking prevalent the "if I were mildly inconvenienced by a protest of police brutality I would simply commit attempted murder with deadly weapon (vehicle)" stuff has been since at least 2014
Vs like, before that is, surprised this wasn't more of a thing before

11:33 PM
@Unionhawk isn't Firing on medical personnel and their patients considered a war crime?

Sounds like luckily there were only minor injuries to anyone

Thank Zeus

@Wipqozn so
Yes
But so is using chemical weapons
So

Double the war crimes double the fun!

There's some exception at hand
Besides what are they going to do, send some cop to the Hague and then go invade to get him back?

11:42 PM
@Unionhawk I regret looking at the replies

actually meh probably exact same reply situation

Donald Trump's Hollywood star was destroyed twitter.com/XochiltGS/status/1267227770083438592?s=19

@Wipqozn I think that’s happened a few times?

lol they actually took Trump down to the bunker on Friday because of the protests outside the White House

scroll down, third picture is identical
