The larger hazard on the blockades appears to be these militias rather than RCMP (though that's strictly larger as in rank 1 vs rank 2)

@MartinSleziak if i recall correctly, where he plans to build the bridge happens to be very deep and also filled with old World War 2 Ordinance which from my understanding, is still live

The article I linked is from February 10 - so it seems that I heard about it a bit later than this actually appeared for the first time.

I mean as a general statement that's true but no one's thinking you should (legally) be going 85 in literally any state but Texas, and definitely not in an area that warrants a 35 MPH sign

@TimStone Okay. How do you propose the car recognizes a 35 MPH stretch of land? How do you propose foreigners would know how hard to drive on a stretch of land without being intimately familiar with the US rules? speed signs are there so people don't have to guess what the speed limit is, and so everyone can agree on a single speed limit

85 MPH is not a legal speed limit anywhere in the country with the exception of those few highways in Texas and the sensor should reject it as a possibility. The part about foreigners isn't relevant to the point, but 35 MPH is typically only used in residential or urban areas in the US, where going 85 MPH wouldn't even be a sensible guess.

The issue isn't with the sensor getting confused, it's with it accepting something that it should have safeguards to reject
