@Ash Forcing public libraries to ban books is unconstitutional, but I believe that there should be reasonable limits on the 1st amendment, but even this would be too much.
Basically I believe banning books in this fashion is and should be unconstitutional. Not being an absolutist gives me flexibility on the should be side.

I suspect the constitutionality is a little complicated here because the libraries are funded by the government. I'm not sure if conditionally withholding funding depending on whether the libraries ban the books would be in violation of the 1st amendment
