12:00 AM
@TimStone and yet no one is questioning his mental health even after (assume) copy-paste quoting (not retweeting) being called the King of Israel and comparing himself to the second coming of God

12:57 AM
This is at least the second time he's brought this up and as far as I know no one has any idea what he's actually talking about?
It's some anti-California regulation rant generally but I'm confused on the specifics here

2 hours later…
4:07 AM
@TimStone isn't all presidential candidates running for senate seats before hand?

2 hours later…
6:01 AM
Trump says being told his idea to buy Greenland is "absurd" is nasty an inappropriate, coming from the guy who's reported to call countries shit holes
given this, might be a good idea to comb current policies for what crap the Trump Admin is trying to push

1 hour later…
7:04 AM
@TimStone Trump is planning on rolling back Obama-era emission standards restrictions. California is fighting back and has already convinced a handful of car manufacturers to go against the grain

7:39 AM
@Memor-X Not reported, we have it recorded :p

4 hours later…
11:10 AM
@Memor-X They're doing it so they can lock them up at the border indefinitely.

Huh, looks like

Ah, okay, you have to escape the closing bracket with a \

Makes sense
!!SCIENCE!! has been completed

Can't edit it anymore though, took too long

3 hours later…
2:13 PM
British consulate worker Simon Cheng arrested in China on charges of soliciting prostitutes, a thread on how they can set this scenario up when they want to arrest you for political reasons

2:27 PM
So it's @Uni's fault...
> Supreme Court rules 7 to 2 that Christian cross is not religious, can be displayed on public land at taxpayer expense.
oh great

3:18 PM
@Yuuki Of course it did
Land of the freeeeee (white christians)!

@Yuuki So I can ask that a Star of David and a Muslim crescent moon be displayed along side the cross?

4:09 PM
Looking at this article's URL confused me...
new-zealand-lawmaker-fed-colleagues-baby-while-presiding-over-debate/
Sounds like cannibalism XD

@Stormblessed I mean, one baby is only a snack if it's offered to everyone

1 hour later…
5:14 PM
@Yuuki first part of that is ridiculous
Second, eh
@Yuuki that person stole the tweet :-/

6:16 PM
Senior officials inside the Ford government planned to keep letters to cabinet members about their mandates secret as long as they could, a CBC News freedom of information request reveals. cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/…
> Mandate letters are commonly used by provincial governments across the country. Every other premier who issues them not only makes the letters public as a matter of course, they also publish them online as a deliberate way to allow the public to understand what the government plans to accomplish during its term.
> CBC News first filed a request for copies of the mandate letters sent by Ontario Premier Doug Ford to all of Ontario's 22 ministries and two non-portfolio responsibilities in July 2018. Mandate letters are a premier's overall marching orders to cabinet ministers.
Also, to be clear, they legally need to release these if requested, which they were. The Ford government is going to court (aka wasting tax dollars) to prevent this.
also, this is a trash (aka heavily anti-worker bias) source, but it's the one that summarizes the changes the best that I've found so far, BUT, new labour code changes for federally mandated work places: business.financialpost.com/opinion/…

That's a great headline I'm glad an outlet like business dot financialpost is mad
you ever get really happy about some awful people being mad about a thing

@Unionhawk Yes
THese are all great changes.
Including some things targeted at Aboriginal emplloees
> Leave for Aboriginal practices. Aboriginal employees who have completed at least three consecutive months of continuous employment may take up to five days of unpaid leave each calendar year to participate in traditional Aboriginal practices.
There's stuff in here I wouldn't even think about, but is great
> Family violence leave. Employees will be entitled to a new leave of up to 10 days each calendar year if an employee or their child is a victim of family violence. For employees with at least three consecutive months of continuous employment the first five days are paid.

won't somebody thnik of the employers

As a federally regulated employee, I welcome all these changes, most of which were already implemented when I was first hired.

> We all want workers to be treated fairly and well.
Nah, you don't, you really don't. That's pretty obvious.

6:29 PM
BUT!
skip, you KNOW that I am in favor of treating workers well. you know this about me skip. BUT

(Apparently, subsidiaries of federally regulated companies are also federally regulated. That's the only reason I'm federally regulated.)

I mean they're right that you should give businesses proper time to prepare though. They can't just spring this stuff on them, like they did here! They've only given business checks notes 1-2 years... oh...oh...
That's uh, no...no time at all! Barely a days notice!

won't somebody think of the shareholders

I'm just sad I viewed that article in a browser without ad block.
but yes, despite trash source, I'm really happy to see this stuff implemented. Hopefully they started rolling out this stuff as part of the general labour code as well.

6:47 PM
@TimStone mmm, carcinogenic plastic fumes

7:10 PM
???????????
Why would you admit that when you could just say nothing, I don't understand
Also News Corp is developing a news aggregation app called "Knewz" because we're in the dumbest timeline?

> One of my favorite, like, Tariq mythologies I've heard from you before is this repeated character in modern American, maybe it's just lawyers, but modern America that's like, old guys who are past their prime but don't know it
> Yeah
> And they just step up an--
> Giuliani
> and they just get their fuckin asses kicked yeah Giuliani

Proud Boys openly admitting to wanting to waste the resources of police departments seems like the kind of thing that police departments should stop being fascifriends with them over idk

@TimStone linking the above because multiline quotes work badly

@Unionhawk lol

@TimStone big recommend to the podcast formerly known as mic dicta, ALAB series
brought to you by the poster formerly known as the helldude

7:22 PM
@TimStone Oh right I forgot that the current US Ambassador to the UK is a Johnson & Johnson founder heir and also named Woody Johnson
Sarah Sanders is joining on as a Fox News contributor, in the least surprising outcome ever

2 hours later…
9:34 PM
I need someone to tell me that Trump didn't actually refer to himself as the second coming of God.
Please tell me that never happened. I heard a rumor and I need it disproven.

He's just being egotistical but in a way that, you know, Christians should be unhappy with but evangelicals will completely ignore

> On Wednesday morning, he tweeted out with approval a conspiracy theorist’s claim that Israelis view Trump “like he’s the King of Israel” and “the second coming of God” (a theology Jews reject).

huh, looks like there are some types of oneboxing that still work

9:38 PM
oh great

Oh, that

@Yuuki That was a retweet from a conspiracy theorist that is also part of Jews for Jesus, as far as I remember.

Remember when they got that fake rabbi to do the service after the Pittsburgh shooting? Pepperidge Farm remembers

@TimStone Apparently not just a fake rabbi but a fake fake rabbi.

@TimStone how the apocalypse starts
