Unclear on how substantial they were though, tbh

Wait, sanders is an independent now?
> The plan, which Mr. Sanders, an independent from Vermont, introduced with Representatives Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Pramila Jayapal of Washington, both Democrats
This is from Wikipedia
> The plan, which Mr. Sanders, an independent from Vermont, introduced with Representatives Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Pramila Jayapal of Washington, both Democrats
I'm so confused
@Unionhawk help
And his twitter says independent
I thought he was a democratic
Except without autocorrect error

12:22 AM
Sanders is an independent who caucuses with Democrats.

@Yuuki and who is running for the Democratic nomination
Parties are mostly fake in the United States
Relative to the UK or probably even Canada

Yeah sounds like parties are more of a thing here
I mean we certainly have more of them if nothing else.

They aren't membership organizations in the US
Like you can't become a member of the party in any meaningful way

tldr; Israel Folau's contract with Ruby Australia was terminated after he posted on twitter a image saying that homosexuals, atheists, alcoholics, etc would go to hell unless they embrace Jesus and Ruby Australia found he was in breach of his employment contract. he then went to start a GoFundMe page to raise 3 million for Legal Fees to take Ruby Australia to court
GoFundMe closed it down and intend to refund the detonators and now a Christian Lobby group has started a fundraiser on their site with the same goal and donated 100k
to be honest this feels like religion wanting to reserve the right to be be assholes to certain groups within organizations which are way moire tolerant than them because while i can't say what was in Israel's contract, my employment contracts and training i have done warn us about making homophobic/racist/discriminatory remarks on social media if the account can be seen as representing the organization

> One red flag for Gen. David Petraeus, who was under consideration for Secretary of State and National Security Adviser: "Petraeus Is Opposed to Torture."
the fact that this was a red flag speaks for itself
> Vetters had unique concerns about Gary Cohn. "Some Say Cohn Has An Abrasive, Curt, And Intimidating Style," they wrote, citing a Bloomberg piece. "He Would Sometimes Hike Up One Leg And Plant His Foot On A Trader's Desk, His Thigh Close To The Employee's Face, And Ask How Markets Were Doing."
the broest of wall street moves
> "President Trump has done more to improve the lives of the American people in two years — than past presidents have done in eight — and no disgruntled, establishment, D.C. swamp creature's cowardly leaks can change that."
lolololololololololol

@GodEmperorDune well the DC Swamp Mosters were killed off because Trump's Swamp was more toxic

Mom charged after fatally running over son in game of 'chicken': police beta.ctvnews.ca/national/world/2019/6/23/1_4478905.html
> An American mother has been charged after fatally running over her three-year-old son in a game of “chicken,” investigators say.

> Lexus Stagg, 26, is seen on surveillance video driving her 2006 Lincoln Navigator into her son, according to District Attorney Kim Ogg in Harris County, Texas.
> Stagg posted pictures of her son on Facebook asking how she is supposed to tell her five year old daughter about the accident.

> Child protection services previously removed two older children from Stagg’s care in 2013, according to KTRK-TV.
Jfc. They should've removed her newer children too.
Christ people are stupid.

@Wipqozn GODDAMMIT, HOUSTON.

@Yuuki You really gotta get your state together. Come on @Yuuki.

What does king salman have against kamala harris in particular?

@Unionhawk She's female?
I was also about to say Syria but that's Gabbard not Harris, right?

My brain turns off for safety purposes every time I read the word "syria" so I don't know

@Memor-X I want to point out that it isn't religion as an entire entity just a group of Christians as that is to me a very important distinction

@Unionhawk 🤔

I legitimately do not understand this
like are they going for "hey person on the left who doesn't trust a former prosecutor, what if I told you that the federalist also thinks that"
is the federalist actually funded by third way and they are doing double secret forward psychology

1:26 PM
I mean, there's no locks on my workplace and I'm technically free to leave at anytime.
Doesn't mean I will because I like having money.

I mean but I think there are physically locks, that's the whole point of detaining them?

"There's not a lock on the door, there's twenty."

@Memor-X Not as yet, but he leads the polls by having twice the votes of his opponents for every one of the votes so far

@PrivatePansy Clearly electing leaders with terrible hair runs in the family.

> “You had done nothing but serve our community for your entire career. And to have this happen to you is really and truly a tragedy,” [Judge] Bixler said
🤔
Yeah I don't think committing statutory rape is a thing that happens to you versus a thing you do and then pay $300 for, apparently

4:40 PM
Huh, I didn't know about the history behind the examples given in the interview

5:32 PM
Ah I see Lindsey Graham is out here with the "well if he said he didn't do it" defense which is quite a thing to say, out loud

6:05 PM
@Unionhawk lmao

6:53 PM
@Unionhawk I'm not sure how I feel about this. One one hand, they're effectively supporting the border camps, which is bad. On the other hand if nobody sells them beds, then the people being held there won't even have beds, and we've seen that they'll still be held there in that situation.
Either way, donating the profits to RAICES would be the right move

7:37 PM
Meghan McCain has also said that the immigrant concentration camps are not like the Hanoi Hilton apparently? Elevating the discourse 👍

@murgatroid99 It'd be a different question if this administration actually followed some guidelines and "we have no supply of beds" translated to "release detained individuals" rather than "well, they just won't have beds".

I'm not even sure at this point if anyone actually compared the concentration camps to torture facilities (even though the family separation is meant to be a deterrent in that way) or she's just starting with that premise to make this argument

@Yuuki That's true. But I think if you just look at the choices of bed suppliers, the possible outcomes are "detainees have beds" and "detainees don't have beds"

8:07 PM
What I meant was that it'd be nice to have an administration where "lack of beds means we can't house detainees in accordance to legal guidelines means we have to release them" but instead we have "lack of beds means we can't house detainees in accordance to legal guidelines but lol who cares, the GOP has our back".

8:21 PM

Weird how that keeps happening tbh
Let's see if they can manage to not nominate Roy Moore this time around

> “You’re not going to need an exit strategy. I don’t do exit strategies.”

10:11 PM
@Yuuki every company doing business with the concentration camps can use every other company also doing business with the camps as a justification for why it is ok for them to keep doing business. Wayfair may have only supplied the beds, but other vendors supply other goods/services and some of those goods/services are going to be absolutely required for this administration to keep running the camps
ergo, don't support the concentration camps at all, don't worry about the administration trying to do the comic book villain move of "you made me hurt them" because they will do that anyway
