tl;dr, Special Counsel says that no one associated with the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in an effort to undermine the election

With regard to the question about obstruction of justice, the Special Counsel gives it a shruggie

And basically punts to Congress

This outcome isn't unexpected, but I don't know what you're supposed to call what they did

The public stuff alone should be obstruction of justice, and there's probably some non-public stuff as well. The bar seems to be set impossibly high

It's probably non-trivial to legally charge the President with obstruction of justice into the investigation of the thing we're also saying he didn't do

But it's a little odd too to say that they didn't do it but also say that people on the other side were rightfully charged for their actions

There's still a bit of hope that the full report is much more damning than the letter indicates

It would be unsurprising to find out that there's a non-zero amount of circumstantial evidence but nothing that would be strong enough to actually make the claim of conspiracy or coordination
