Hey @Jolenealaska, I know you feel bit panicky and jittery...
Unfortunately, this wouldn't assuage your concerns:
> Trump's lead in Nevada means the pollster is now forecasting that the former president will win the election with 302 Electoral College votes to Harris' 236. Nevada has 6 electoral votes.
@User1865345 Most of those polls are among a VERY small segment of the population, with a VERY small margin of error. Wait for the final election results before starting doom and gloom
@Nzall yes. Indeed. Donald is only leading by 0.2 in Nevada.
My point is why in the world this race is so tight. Seems MAGa indoctrination is at full swing.
It's because of that asinine electoral college system. AFAIK Democrats are leading in the popular vote

@Nzall well, tbf, it was an extremely narrow election.

I hope and believe that the polls underrepresent women who will vote against Trump despite telling pollsters otherwise. The terrible situation in maternal health care in red states is going to save the country like COVID did in 2020. That is my prediction. I've never needed so badly to be right about anything.
Early in-person voting opens in Alaska on the 21st. I will vote that day. The mail-in ballots require a signature witnessing the voter's signature, which is kind of a pain in the ass for me, so early in-person it is.
I'm sure everybody in this room knows that earlier is better because it will take you off the list of registered voters that the "get out the vote" folks use as the election nears. Their effort is critical— help them by shortening the list by 1 as early as you can.

One thing I have never understood is all the people demanding a picture ID for the ability to vote. Not sure how bad it is in other countries but I am seeing more and more stories about the high quality fake photo ID's that people can buy from countries like China. Seems to me like it is getting harder and harder for the average person to spot a fake ID meaning that photo ID for stopping fraud isn't as good as it used to be.

There isn't and has never been statistically significant election fraud in this country. All of this push to 'protect election integrity' is blatantly geared to suppress marginalized voters. It's disgusting.

They're trying to win by making it difficult for people who don't keep meticulously organized files to prove they are who and what they claim to be. If you ask a hundred people if they can lay their hands on their birth certificate, the ones who can't are likely living more challenge-filled lives than the ones who can.
Poverty and disability make everything harder, including keeping track of paperwork.
If you don't drive (other than in New York City), it's likely because you're either too poor to have a car or too disabled to control one.
If you drive, you likely keep your driver's license current. If you don't drive, well, statistically, you're likely to lean Democrat. Anything that makes it harder non-drivers to vote will benefit Republicans. Which is the whole point of all of this nonsense.
