@Nzall earlier daily beast didn't open for me either.
If you have a vpn, try that first. FYI, it's working for me again without doing anything.
@Jolenealaska analemma. This proves again earth is revolving and not the sun. Btw, it is already liked by me!
@JoeW problem is these sort of problems (at least the one I stated) is not global. The site is not down.
One thing I have learnt watching deep caving videos: For God's sake, don't do it!
Remember the Nutty Putty disaster?
1:57 AM
@User1865345 nope, but that's some nightmare fuel
@Wipqozn my god. I developed claustrophobia watching that.
He had to be given burial there for his body couldn't be retrieved from that place.
I really wish I hadn't looked at this
According to polls as of today
One from UK:
@Jolenealaska 🤯
Polls are tight. Cancun Cruz is surging ahead again. Texas love Cruz. What a disappointment.
In Florida, Commander Rick Scott is also polling ahead.
@User1865345 it feels like I spend my entire life saying I told you so
Or at least thinking it
There's a reasonable purpose for correspondents in war zones and I understand why journalists sometimes jump for those opportunities, but standing in a hurricane is just idiocy.
Whether CNN asked him to do it or whether he volunteered, it's equally dumb.
2:21 AM
@Jolenealaska lol
@Jolenealaska true
Of course, he likes strongmen.
> Trump and Hindu-nationalist Modi enjoy warm relations and the former US president has a sizable following among right-wing groups in India, who see him as a kindred spirit aligned with their hostility towards Muslims.
> The pair heaped praise on each other in a joint appearance at a stadium in Houston in 2019, touting a close, personal alliance in front of tens of thousands of Indian-Americans.
> Modi hosted Trump at an even bigger US-style rally in his home state of Gujarat during Trump's last year in office, before an estimated 100,000 supporters.

Trump -- who, like Modi, has been accused of discriminating against Muslims -- has stood by the Indian leader through multiple controversies, including the revocation of autonomy for Muslim-majority Kashmir.
I miss Trevor. 😭
Others: You can't be more stupider...
> "I'm not an expert in cloud seeding or whatever it is that they used to magnify the storm to a higher degree, to disturb a land that may be wanted for lithium that [Kamala] Harris' husband is partaking in."
> "If you ask it about [Hurricane Helene], it'll tell you the government actively used seed clouding," she insisted. "If you're looking at where the hurricane's going, it's a lot of red states."
> "They're doing whatever they can, because they can't rig the Alexa."
When did the country become so illiterate and dumb?!
> A left-wing documentary filmmaker appears to have captured Roger Stone spitballing potentially violent and illegal ideas to ensure former President Donald Trump returns to power next month, saying he’d like to deploy “armed guards” to voting sites on Election Day.

In undercover audio and video from August provided to the Daily Beast, the pro-Trump political operative can be heard responding to a question about how to prevent Democrats from “stealing” the election.
> “We have to fight it out on a state-by-state basis, but you have to be ready,” Stone gamely replies. “When they throw us out of Detroit, you go get a court order, you come in with your own armed guards, and you, and you dispute it. Instead, our guys just left.”
Sadly, this segment is not what Fox viewers watch.

@Jolenealaska Polls don't matter. it's the final election result that does. Everything else is just paranoia bait

> If I were named Obama, I would’ve had the Nobel Prize. He got the prize, he didn’t know what he got it for. He got elected. So did I… I got elected too. There’s a lot unfairness in this world
1:41 PM
@User1865345 i assume he's saying this now because a Japanese anti-nuclear organisation won it this year
Lol
Tye complete quote:
> If I were named Obama, I would’ve had the Nobel Prize given to me in 10 seconds
@Memor-X That article was posted before the Peace Prize announcement, so he wouldn't have known who won.
And Trump's comments obviously earlier than that.
@MBraedley ahhh i see. so not as petty as it could have been
@MBraedley tbf, he would be miffed with that too. After all, he avoided wars during his tenure.
And he can stop the current wars with a single phone call. Sad!
Although it's different he wants to nuke Iran.
(And before the pedants arrive, yes, I know you are "awarded" the Peace Prize, you don't "win" it, but the latter is more concise.)
2:40 PM
@MBraedley Yeah I'd be willing to agree with trump that Obama won it not on what he did, what trump is not saying is that obama won for who he IS.
a black man that got to the highest seat of power in the US, and you could debate the world. That gives so much hope to a lot of communities that are used to see a dude in the white house that has nothing to do with them

@User1865345 To use a D&D reference, Milton started rolling nat 1s as it approached Florida. If it had tracked closer to the original prediction of a bit further north, or if it maintained the Cat 4 wind speeds, things would have been a lot different and a lot worse for any who didn't evacuate. It's a stroke of luck.
