@Jolenealaska Was the officer the wearing this cam the one who did the murdering?

I can't quite tell. I think so.
Ooh, MSNBC says a weapon WAS recovered.

From just now
That one is worth watching
AND worth reading. There seems to be a lot to the story.

@Jolenealaska From the moment Adam tossed away that gun and raised his hands, the officer has no reason whatsoever to shoot

@TimStone Just saw this. Their seems to be even more shooting going on in the US lately than usual, and there was already too many.
Politicians need to stop doing literally nothing and start trying to fix this.
@Nzall Of course they did. Fuck cops.

12:33 PM
@Nzall Yes
I've seen folks defending the cop saying he had such little time to react.... but cops are supposed to be trained to handle these situations
Then again I suppose a 2 week training course isn't going to produce highly trained cops.
I mean they're highly trained at shooting black men, bnut other than that

> In an analysis of training requirements in several states by Gawker "found Louisiana law enforcement recruits typically attend 360 hours of training, while the national average is slightly more than 600 hours. Louisiana requires less hours of training for law enforcement than the 1,500 hours needed to become a certified barber, the website said.

obviously the solution to state sanctioned violence is to give the apparatus that constantly does violence more money :)
and to tell them to please stop that's not allowed unless you were really scared then it's ok

I don't understand how "they keep making mistakes" is an argument for giving them guns
I mean, I do. But it's dumb

@Unionhawk I like how they make an animation movie allegory using talking animals sound like reasonable training material. Like, seriously, the amount of people like me, who cannot understand the moral of a story when it's brought by anything other than adult humans because they're too dumb to understand anthropomorphized being also have antropomorphic morality is astounding

@Nzall jfc
Maybe we should give barbers guns

@Wipqozn barbershop cops? Might make sense

The police are already adequately trained and fully prepared for what their job is.

@Unionhawk I disagree. I think they need more sharpshooter training, so they can start shooting unarmed people from rooftops.

They were fully prepared to do that to us in Dayton a couple years ago lol

@Unionhawk That awkward moment when your shitty joke becomes reality

back when city of dayton granted a permit to some southeast indiana kkk chapter
and then spent thousands of dollars on overtime for departments from across the state, a huge fence, and a street sign that said "racists go this way^, everyone else go this way >"
iirc the bloc made it on the other side of the fence at some point anyway

sounds like, I don't know, "collusion"?
> The revelation, made public in a Treasury Department document announcing new sanctions against Russia, established for the first time that private meetings and communications between the campaign officials, Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, and their business associate were a direct pipeline from the campaign to Russian spies at a time when the Kremlin was engaged in a covert effort to sabotage the 2016 presidential election.

Florida's new ban on transgender students in sports would allow schools to subject minors to genital inspections thehill.com/changing-america/respect/equality/…
> Under a new ban on transgender students in sports passed by Florida’s House of Representatives, schools would have the power to subject students to “physical examination” if their gender is disputed.

> The "Fairness in Women’s Sports Act" bans transgender female athletes from competing on women’s athletic teams in both high school and college sports, although transgender male athletes may still compete on either team. In cases where a student’s “biological sex” is disputed, the law authorizes schools to require health examinations or documentation from the student's personal health care
Lawyer for policeman who shot Adam Toledo: 'Disheartening' that no one's asked how the officer's doing thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/…
> “What is amazing and disheartening is that very few have asked about the welfare of the officer," the attorney wrote, according to the news outlet. "Specifically there is very little interest in the wellbeing of the officer and the impact experienced by the officer who was required to use deadly force in the line of duty."
