We can help with the first question "How can I get people to stop using unreasonable "argument stopper"?" but not the rest of the questions because they're either intrapersonal questions or "what should I do" questions which are not within the scope of this site. — ElizB 51 secs ago

I think the two situations you describe are quite different - you could reasonably say something to your coworker that would be disrespectful to say to your parents (especially since it sounds like you still live with them?). You might want to focus on one or the other in this question. There's also a lot of questions in the last section - check out help center, we can't tell you whether you should do anything about it or not, only help with a goal you've decided on. — Em C ♦ 1 min ago

@EmC Yeah, I am in the process of working on the question. I like to "post" a prototype and edit my way to to a good question from there. Will consider your points — Patrick Hollweck 1 min ago

We do have a sandbox if you'd like to use that next time :) It's generally not a good idea on SE to post an incomplete question because if anyone answers it in the meantime you aren't supposed to significantly edit it afterwards if it would invalidate the answers. — Em C ♦ 1 min ago

I'm voting to close this as primarily opinion based since asking "What would you do?" is about as opinion based as you can get. Every answer could be a correct answer. — sphennings 1 min ago

Just about your introduction, the part that seems to be on topic. How you give your opinion and how well reflected that opinion is is critical. You seem to be convinced that you are doing it correctly. Please ask someone honest you know well in person if they find your style helpful. It's impossible to tell without a transcript or video online sadly — Raditz_35 54 secs ago

@Raditz_35 I understand your concern that you think my "suggestions" are not as helpful/friendly as I think they are. However I got to that conclusion by reflecting on how this usually goes, Most of the time the other says that my suggestion does make sense. Sometimes it doesn't of course, and they say it doesn't make sense and point out a flaw, which results in me being silent about it. But yeah this is some bad wording, I will change that, and you could also be right. Maybe I am not as friendly as I think. But I'd doubt it — Patrick Hollweck 34 secs ago

I'm not just talking about it making sense, I'm talking about how you give it. It doesn't really sound like you've mastered that part in example b. — Raditz_35 6 secs ago

@Raditu_35 Oh man, I sound like a douche. But that's exactly the part I don't get. Let's take Example B as a base. Does it really matter if I clean my room now or in 10 Minutes. I think it doesnt, it is perfectly reasonable to not being able to do it now. So why would you not allow me to finish my game? "If you think giving you opinion is about facts, then you will only be able to argue with a very small group of people" Can you elaborate on this? Why would that be? Am I missing the obvious here? The "Exploring new ideas" part is more for me, as in I change my opinion, and thats a new idea. — Patrick Hollweck 1 min ago

@Raditz_35 I think you are right. This question is not really answerable in the sense that I would like it to be. I really can't be helped here, you would habe to personally see how I approach these things. Without that you can't really see where I go wrong. This is because it seems like my vision of how I think these Interactions go seems to be distorted. i know this is really not in the scope of this SE, but is there Something I can do to change that? Or am I just like that because of autism? — Patrick Hollweck 1 min ago
