@RakeshJoshi Hi! Yes, do you mean there should be world of BrahmA not Brahman?

going to brahma loka is moksha ? goal of vedanta and sanyasa?

There can be two possibly either going to BrahmaLoka and then attaining Brahman or directly attaining Brahmana.
You might be interested in contradiction between BG & Upanishads:

but mukti should be immediately after death
if one has to go another lokas then what is use of jnana ?

Q: Interpreting Bhagavad Gita verse 8.16

PandyaI do know that according to Upanishads, All the higher Lokas except Brahma Loka, are subjected to circumgyration/reparation (birth-rebirth).

BG has many issues and contradictions so i dont give it much importance

Worth to read mentioned question ^^

i have read it
but if one goes to brahma loka then what happens there?
he lives there eternally?
then another question arise .. are these lokas real? if so then how come jagat is mithya?
@Pandya

Yeah, actually the concept of Brahma Loka is not satisfactory. One should only try to attain Brahman instead of thinking about other Lokas.
You may refer Sacred Texts or this translation on Mundaka verse.

worlds of brahman means what?
how come a mithya loka give moksha?

Q: Want to know about Brahmaloka

PandyaWhile reading Mukhya Upanishads, I found there are many verses that say who does upasana upon Brahman or Om, is led up or reach/attain to Brahmaloka. Example: (Verses from Sanskritdocuments and English translations from sacred-texts): Prashnopanishad 5.5: यः पुनरेतं त्रिमात्रेणोमित्येतेनैवा...

you will never find correct answer because there is none

@Pandya Then what is the use of vedanta when one does attain liberation even after death? — Rakesh Joshi 6 mins ago

if brahma loka is accepted then mithya jagat concept will fail
moksha means immortality ...

@RakeshJoshi I request you not to target Vedanta or other philosophy just because you are not o agree with.

then take back that verse of mundaka because it is contradicting with all answer
else accept that Vedanta is for attaining brahma loka
it is not my agreement or your agreement. it is direct statement of upanishad !! not my view !! @Pandya

I accept that Upanishads says goal Brahman or BrahmaLoka and it's explained in last Adhyaya of Brahma Sutra.

@RakeshJoshi As per Bhagavatam, inhabitants of Brahma Loka also attain Moksha.

7:28 AM
I recommend reading BS to understand Upanishads.

@Pandya have you understood them till now?
@TheDestroyer so is brahma loka real ?
this is not mukti that first you do sadhana on earth . then die. and do further sadhana in brahma loka then attain moksha.. @TheDestroyer

@RakeshJoshi You should note, only Advaita considers world as unreal not all Vedantic sects. Vaishnava and Shiava Vedanta sects consider world as real. They also tried to make Agamas compatible with Vedanta.

agama has nothing to do with vedanta

@RakeshJoshi You can read Upanishads and BS without any commentaries and interpret it as per your understanding. (whether world real or not).

yes that is what i m saying mundaka says that one reaches brahma loka with vedanta and sanyasa

so MU is higher authority than SB BG and BS

7:41 AM
@RakeshJoshi Yes, I have read it.

Q: Moksha for the Soul of Brahma

Bhavin ChhatrolaThe life of Brahma is 100 years of Brahma. More information on Hindu Cosmology We are in 51st year of the current Brahma's Life Year. I also know that after Brahma dies, Brahma (the soul in that post) is reborn. My Question is: Is the current soul of Brahma reborn as Brahma again or some ...

@Pandya so brahma attains moksha after 100 years
so how its related?

@RakeshJoshi other Upanishads say attaining Brahman. (Not always BrahmaLoka). Now it's we if don't understand why is the Interpretation.
@RakeshJoshi those who reach BrahmaLoka will attian Moksha at the end of Kapla, with BrahmA.

at end all will attain irrespective of enligtheement
so tha verse of mundaka is giving a totally different idea of vedanta ...

it is saying that sanyasa is worship of lord brahmaa to attain his loka

@RakeshJoshi enlightenment is guaranteed in BrahmaLoka!

then what is this everyone who dies on earh has to go there for mukti?

7:55 AM
Btw if one feel so many contradictions in BG, it's due to its fluctuating nature and one doesn't understand it. If s/he study 10 Mukhya Upanishads, most of doubts & confusions will be resolved. And s/he will not find contradictions more :)

but you are still finding...
so not studies them properly?

Very little remaining.
@RakeshJoshi which philosophy do you believe in?
Athato Rakeah Joshi's Philosophy Jijnasa! Haha

i m general vedas.. then agama . yoga
@Tezz what up

4 hours later…
12:05 PM
@RakeshJoshi ok. So, is it common that Agamic people don't like Upanishads or Vedanta and BG?

cos agama dont give importance to renunciation etc
@Pandya see the answer of rickross

the shastras mention vedas and upanishads separately .. which is clear that upanishad are NOT vedas
