@MiG Well, I guess that's just 'what happens when you travel late'.

7:11 AM
o/ how are you today?

A J
good
I am loving to hear how valuable I am to the company after I have resigned. ;)
you?

Waiting for the guys that should turn up today to start putting the pavement in the backyard. Which is also good :)
@AJ Found another job?

A J
yes

Congratulations :D
(I'm assuming it's a good thing, and a 'better' job)

A J
Thanks. I guess it will be better than current one.
Well, at least the company is.

7:20 AM
That sounds promising at least :)

A J
Yes. :)

@Tinkeringbell on a monday night? :x
wait, it was sunday night... party weekend I suppose...
the days are still blending in I notice :x
& congrats :)

@MiG As long as you don't forget today is a work day :P

MiG
well, now that you mention it cough

Heh. According to the calculations done back when, my backyard would've needed 7m3 of sand to fill in before tiles. Just talked to the guy, there's already 7m3 added and he's barely over half way there XD

1 hour later…
1:09 PM
@Tinkeringbell maybe he is laying the sand twice as thick...

@RoryAlsop Maybe. He's certainly using one of those really annoying machines to pound it all down :P

@Tinkeringbell ahh - great when working from home, I can imagine

Not ideal, my headphones filter a lot of it out though, some loud music does the rest :D
(But on spotify :P)

A J
1:26 PM
@Tinkeringbell Depends if the backyard is at the same level all over. ;)

@AJ No, it's actually 'shallower' the closer you get to the 'end' XD
So, near the doors there's more sand needed than near the fence, but it's still a lot more than expected XD
Sand is about 40 euro per m3, so I'm expecting to go another 200 over the expected costs... not too bad, but it's another 200 euro I can't spend on new hoodies, games, books or a coffee machine :P

@Tinkeringbell I think you now know that it takes more than the estimated when it comes to get the construction work done. :P

MiG
5:10 PM
the basic rule is probably "add 100%" :x

2 hours later…
6:43 PM
Heh yeah that's likely. Well it seems all the sand is about done...
Wasted an hour of both my time and the time from the pavement guy talking to a neighbor though, calming him down... That neighbor is a PITA, always thinking he knows better than the guys I'm paying to do the job :/
