Like I'm mostly on Bicycles, but ended up getting some rep on DIY and mechanics and somehow 500 on "personal finance" .

There's no reason to limit yourself to one SE site.

Since we have a dishwasher, I don't mind the dishes most of the time. The only times I absolutely hate them is when I've already seen someone didn't run the dishwasher the day before, because at that point you always end up doing stuff by hand too because it doesn't fit :)

Maybe. Our cutlery does get stains too, but only if you leave it in very long. It's like the damp in the dishwasher then condenses back onto them again: If you take them out immediately, and wipe them off with a cloth, there's never any :)
