Same. Reading all sorts of e-mails about people missing being around coworkers... and I'm feeling like 'can't relate'. So that's probably good ;) And now that there's more time that's not spend travelling, I take walks... and that's slowly starting to show in the numbers on the scale... so that's something too.

I spent the entirety of yesterday morning chatting with a coworker + copy pasting the bits of relevant chat convo into a document so I'll have something to reference later.

Sounds not so fun

Isn't. I have to do 20 little tasks and no one is letting me finish a single one... I just turned off skype, teams, e-mail and my phone and I'm going to get through the list before I turn them back on again.

I spent a few hours yesterday manually moving files in dropbox because we had a bug in our code to batch upload files. Instead of putting 10 files into 1 directory, it recursively appended the name of the folder over and over, so it made a 10 layer deep file tree with one file per layer.

We had scheduled tasks that tried to run at 11pm instead of 10pm because of summertime... and it messed things up :P

I... don't really mind it, I adapt to both changes quickly enough. Though I do understand there's plenty of people out there that don't.

I'm still a little sore from a story I did a few weeks ago involving timestamps. When I found out that my company stores different timestamps in different ways

Ugh, yeah... that makes sense. The one time I had to do something with timestamps it wasn't pretty either.

Some of them we store without any timezone information with the assumption that it is relative to the timezone of the physical property it is linked to

Others we store with a timezone

Yeah that makes sense (not)

It drives me up a wall

My manager and I both have very strong opinions about it, but on the opposite sides.

Unfortunately manager usually wins when it comes to difference of opinion

Though I often feel like the deck is stacked against me because my manager was the first engineer at the company

So they know all of the design decisions that have been made and why

Okay. Does it happen for anyone else that while on mobile, using the "new" mobile chat view, the bottom half of @Rainbacon's avatar never shows up? This has been happening consistently for months and it's only Rainbacon that it happens to.
