@Noon: I first considered adding the relationship tag to that post, too. But I find it not appropiate. As it would indicate that conversation being based on relationship terms. While this is here not the case. OP's situation might lead to a relationship but he wants to have that conversation on terms not necessarily being related to this, what makes it more dificult to communicate it correct.

Hence the tag might simplify the question. But I am not too sure .

@Noon Well, we already do flag, downvote, and leave a comment in most cases. It doesn't work. I think it may be related to what we write in that comment, but I'm not sure, thence the meta question.

I actually encounter this kind of situation on a daily basis at work (people not listening to what you're saying and asking you for information you already gave, or people who just don't play by the rules because they don't like them and don't care about the consequences)

@avazula I'm not sure we downvote that much. I know I don't when I am in the review queue and, even when I'm not, I mostly don't (which isn't good)

Btw, when I wrote the answer for Noon this morning, I came across this behavior: meta.stackexchange.com/q/319478/232136 feel free to give in your feedback. It is a rare case that you click content you just pasted in your post, but for a tag this could happen. And I think the way it currently behaves is literally NEVER of any use.

I'm trying not to cry at work. Darn it, why on Earth couldn't I just have been neurotypical?

I once had an emotional outbreak at work after an argument with a coworker. I felt horrible just by the idea anyone could have ntaken notice of it. Don't want to have anyone being in that situation! :(

@dhein Well, yesterday morning I started my work-day with an e-mail saying 'I merged your merge request, then made changes on my own and committed those too, because I was tired of discussing this'. This being a discussion I started on Monday afternoon, and on which I had asked for a second independent opinion from another senior dev. It kinda ended up exploding a bit yesterday, so yesterday and today was a lot of managers, senior devs, reviews, architecture talks etc.

@Mithrandir that post has so many answers now that I have to hunt around when people try to link a specific one :o

I got out pretty much unscathed, besides that 'I'm not supposed to use SE at work anymore'. That includes SO and sites like software engineering, where I used to look for solutions, design patterns and best practices. Because there's no questions about Magik.

And if it's not about Magik it may give me a false impression of how things are done in Magik :/

Which is weird, because the stuff I looked up so far pretty much all got validated by other senior devs.
